Today we’d like to introduce you to Sammy Jackson.
Sammy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Once I recorded my first single and I knew God had a calling upon my life, I started by asking a pastor in Watts if he would be interested in me helping his church do a fundraiser at his church, so I started working on my first promotion, encouraging communities around Los Angeles county, to support this cause, I didn’t know how things would work out, so I came up with an idea which got the attention. I was so excited what God was doing at that moment. I started inviting local gospel artists to come and participate and I was pushing my single Jesus is The only Answer. That event was so successful I had big-name gospel group ask me about promoting their group in Los Angeles. I turn that down because I wasn’t ready for that much responsibility. But thank God that he showed me that I had a gift which I didn’t know I had.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
One thing that was very important was coming up with a name for My ministry, what would be my mission on this earth to serve for the kingdom of God. I was always interested in listening to the elderly, I wanted Walk into right direction, represent, sell, and promote God’s well with full of faithfulness, I felt like God was my boss and my job was very serious and important. Knowing that Jesus is soon to return, bringing soul into God’s Kingdom. This is a business I am very proud and not ashamed of the gospel, I am a part of God’s army movin into the right direction.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
One thing I know my journey awesome, God is truly manifesting Christian’s Merging Together ministry Foundations has been an awesome journey down the road. I have had many challenges reaching out to youth, homeless and seniors. But one thing I know is I will continue working and doing something that makes a difference in my community and bring effective changes around us, my focus is bringing on events, which Pastors refuse to accept but God said I be doing greater things. He has appointed the time and place for all these things will come, I’m ready do what God place my hand on, right now I’m trying to develop putting together a tour. But I’m always about helping others doing whatever my journey takes me.
How do you define success?
When God is pleased with me, I have completed my assignment.
