Life & Work with Sarah Sanford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Sanford.

Hi Sarah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Coming from a big sports family, we always had parties where my mom would make her “special punch”. It always consisted of some sort of fruit juice, wine, and whatever liquor she had available. When I went off to college, I tried my hand at that special punch and Fine Wine Enterprises was created……I now create signature sangria, homemade cocktails, flavorful simple syrups…. all while bartending private and public events 😁

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not a smooth road by far… Covid, Pneumonia and Crohn’s disease have tried their best to take me out of the ring but my God hits harder……I had to use all of my profits to get back on my feet 3 times without the assistance of a ppp loan or any outside source so I know that I’m supposed to be here….. your hustle isn’t strong if you can’t lose it all and get it all back right? Getting my brand out there is just the beginning…….Fine Wine Enterprises will be a household name soon enough…

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In addition to being the Mixologist/CEO of Fine Wine Enterprises, I am a 17 years employee of Delta Airlines where I work outside in the ramp. I basically load the luggage and maintain the safety of the passengers from a weight and balance standpoint. I am most proud of the balance that I have created to be able to run a business and hold an airline career for 17 years…… it makes me smile just thinking about it

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
You cannot live your life without taking risks and one of my biggest risks thus far was building a bar in my garage….I had a vision and I took my time and put it in motion. I can now practice my mixology in the comfort of my own home, host game night, ladies night, etc…… Case and point risk taking can be a beautiful thing if you’re not afraid to fall
