Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon BalenciagaA.
Hi Shannon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
AnnAga Luxury Skincare was born from a lived understanding of refinement, resilience, and ritual. Long before the brand existed, I understood luxury not as excess, but as intention, how you care for yourself, how you move through the world, and how you protect your peace.
My background spans creativity, entrepreneurship, and community leadership, spaces that demand both visibility and endurance. In the midst of building, I recognized how often self-care is deprioritized, treated as indulgence rather than necessity. I wanted something different, products that felt elevated yet purposeful, indulgent yet disciplined.
When I couldn’t find skincare that reflected that balance, I created it. AnnAga became a study in restraint and excellence: clean formulations, refined textures, and a sensory experience that turns daily care into ritual. Each product is designed with precision, from ingredient selection to packaging because luxury, to me, is in the details.
Today, AnnAga has grown into a modern luxury lifestyle brand encompassing skincare, home essentials, and wellness. It mirrors my journey polished by experience, strengthened through challenge, and guided by vision. This isn’t trend-driven beauty. It’s legacy work.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road and I don’t believe meaningful work ever is. Building AnnAga required learning every layer of the business while navigating visibility, expectation, and responsibility at the same time. There were moments of limited resources, delayed timelines, and having to make strategic decisions before I had all the answers.
One of the greatest challenges was patience allowing the brand to grow intentionally rather than rushing to meet outside pressure. I also had to learn when to protect the vision, when to pivot, and when to trust my instincts even when the path felt uncertain.
What sustained me was clarity of purpose. Every challenge refined the brand rather than weakening it. AnnAga exists because of those moments, not in spite of them. The road wasn’t smooth but it was necessary.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work lives at the intersection of luxury, intention, and legacy. As the founder and owner of AnnAga Luxury Skincare, I specialize in creating elevated skincare and lifestyle essentials that transform everyday care into ritual. I am deeply involved in every layer of the brand from formulation and sensory experience to packaging, storytelling, and long-term vision.
I’m known for building with restraint and purpose. AnnAga is not trend-driven; it’s detail-driven. Clean formulations, refined textures, and a quiet sense of indulgence define the brand. Everything we create is designed to feel timeless, not seasonal luxury that integrates seamlessly into real life.
What I’m most proud of is building a brand that reflects discipline and depth. AnnAga stands for consistency, quality, and intention in an industry that often prioritizes speed over substance. I’ve grown the company thoughtfully, expanding into skincare, home essentials, and wellness while protecting the integrity of the brand at every stage.
What sets me apart is vision paired with lived experience. I don’t separate creativity from strategy, or beauty from responsibility. I build with longevity in mind products that last, narratives that endure, and a brand that feels personal yet expansive. AnnAga isn’t just what I do; it’s how I move through the world.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Mentorship and networking have never been about access for me they’ve been about alignment. The most meaningful relationships in my career came from showing up prepared, consistent, and clear about my vision long before I ever asked for guidance.
My advice is to seek proximity, not permission. Be present in the rooms where the work is happening. Listen more than you speak. Pay attention to how people move, not just what they say. Mentors are often watching long before they engage, and trust is built through discipline and follow-through.
What has worked best for me is offering value first being useful, respectful of time, and intentional about relationships. I’ve learned that mentorship doesn’t always look like formal meetings or titles. Sometimes it’s a single conversation, a quiet observation, or someone opening a door because they recognize your consistency.
Above all, protect your integrity. Not every connection is meant to be permanent, and not every opportunity deserves a yes. The right mentors don’t just give advice they sharpen your discernment. And the strongest networks are built on mutual respect, not transactions.
