Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharron Roberts.
Hi Sharron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started out managing clubs and curating events, and I quickly noticed a pattern — the men were running the party… but the women were the party. Let’s be honest — no women, no party. Simple math.
So instead of just attending events, I decided to create them. I stepped into hosting, built my presence, moved into radio, and eventually created my brand, OhSheLit.
OhSheLit was built with purpose — to spotlight women who are dominating in their fields, no matter the industry. It became a safe, empowering platform — a brand run by women, for women — celebrating talent, leadership, and influence in every lane.
Now, 10 years later, OhSheLit continues to thrive, having showcased incredible women across countless events and platforms. What started as an observation turned into a movement — and we’re still lit.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No lol not all
Let’s be real — it hasn’t always been easy getting men to listen… especially when they walk in the room already convinced they know more than you.
When I started this journey, people weren’t exactly lining up to support all-women shows or women-led events. Back then, women were expected to attend the party — not run it. The idea of an all-women platform? “Too much.” “Not needed.” “Won’t work.”
But here’s the thing — I knew the power we had, even if they didn’t.
So while they debated, I built.
While they doubted, I hosted.
While they questioned, I created space.
I created platforms where women weren’t just the aesthetic — we were the executives. We were the hosts, the talent, the producers, the decision-makers. A safe space, a bold brand, and a movement that said: we can run the show and look good doing it.
It wasn’t always applauded. It wasn’t always understood. But it was always necessary.
And now? What people once questioned is the very wave they’re trying to catch.
Funny how that works. 💁🏽♀️✨
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a media personality, event curator, and brand builder. I specialize in creating high-energy, culture-driven events and platforms that spotlight talent — especially women who are dominating in their industries. From hosting live events to producing interviews and building experiences that bring real conversations to the forefront, I focus on visibility, impact, and connection.
I’m best known for building a woman-led platform that creates space where women aren’t just invited — they’re highlighted, respected, and celebrated. I’ve produced and hosted events, live interviews, and media experiences that amplify voices that deserve the mic.
What I’m most proud of is longevity and consistency. Building a brand that has sustained for over a decade in entertainment and media — especially as a woman — isn’t easy. I’m proud that I didn’t just start something trendy; I built something intentional and lasting.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just throw events — I create atmosphere, opportunity, and alignment. I understand both sides of the room: the business and the vibe. I lead with confidence, creativity, and purpose.
I built my lane instead of waiting for permission to be in one — and that’s the difference. ✨
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Like rashan Ali or Joyce littel women in radio before me would be my mentor . I would listen to their radio show for hours.
You just have to find your passion and find others that look like you who want to not just give you advise but also show you the way
