Hi Simone Middlebrooks and Pastor Cedric Halbert , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Simone, a Certified Life and Relationship Coach with over a decade of experience. I’m passionate about helping others overcome life’s challenges because I’ve been there myself. People often open up to me about their struggles, and my goal is to guide you toward a renewed sense of purpose, peace, and joy without judgment. You are enough, and you matter, and I’m here to support you on your journey to healing and wholeness. I am a Author of two books Preparing you for your purpose partner and Standing for your marriage God way. Divine Connection was birth out of Divine Purpose. Together with my Co-host Pastor Cedric, my valued friend and spiritual partner, we hope to empower men and women in our community to embrace their divine role as leaders in their families and communities.
The narrative of Divine Connection is about trust and divine timing. Pastor Cedric and I have been friends since 2017, helping each other on our paths. We lost contact in 2020, and I prayed for over a year for someone to collaborate with me to develop a presentation that would inspire and encourage people. God answered my prayers when Pastor Cedric reunited with me on Facebook, and we recognized now was the moment to launch the podcast we had planned years before.
Pastor Cedric’s story is particularly moving. During the 2020 COVID epidemic, he gave his kidney to his estranged brother. A selfless deed motivated by agape love, faith, and obedience to God’s command. This amazing testimony of forgiveness and sacrifice serves as the foundation for Divine Connection’s mission.
Our show combines biblical lessons, real-life experiences, and practical solutions to assist families and individuals in transforming their lives. Divine Connection is more than just a podcast; it’s a movement that encourages men and women to accept their roles in the family and shares inspiring stories of perseverance.
We would be honored to share our journey and the heart of Divine Connection with your audience. This story of faith, transformation, and divine timing could uplift and inspire many who are seeking answers in their own lives.
Pastor Cedric had a dream of becoming a Major league Baseball or a R & B singer, to my disappointment God interrupted my plans to be about his perfect & ultimate will for my life to become a Preacher of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. I have been in ministry for 23 yrs, married for 27,I am currently in my 2nd year of Pastoring. I am a Kidney Donor,& a Published Author of my debut book titled “Don’t You Dare Give Up On God” that’s available through Amazon.com
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Simone- This road defiantly has not been easy. I grow up with a mother who hated me said that I would never amount to anything and that I was worthless. Wished I was dead. I suffered from depression for many years but God delivered me from it all. Honestly I truly thank God for the people he has place in my life to help me along the way like Pastor Cedric, Larry Hill and Pastor Cynthia Miller and my spiritual father God rest his soul. I have been divorced twice but still believe in love and know that God is sending me a husband he has called me to be with. God is the head of my life and honestly I do not know where I would be without him. I am reminded I will never leave you, and I will never forsake you. Hebrews 13:5
Pastor Cedric No it has not been a smooth road, but because of the John 3:16 promise, it’s worth it, I’ve been through much “Spiritual Warfare” Ostracism & Criticism, betrayal loneliness, weariness, persecutions, suffering & even depression, but through prayer & fasting, by God’s grace & his mercy he brought me through every trial…Marital struggles as well,

Simone- I am a full-time driver recruiter, certified life and relationship coach, author, radio host and podcaster and have a men ministry, My specialty is helping people I love helping people. I known for as a encourager motivator and a purpose pusher. I am proud of the fact one that everything I have been through in my entire life God kept me and kept my mind and also for me being a women that God believed in my so much to give me the vision to help men who suffer in silents. What set me apart is I believe in people when no one else does. I see the potential in people.
Pastor Cedric I am a promoter of Nonderogatory Music, to get positive music back on the radio air waves for our youth. I am a Spiritual Advisor/Business Partner of “Gentry Kozia”,be on the lookout for his Music, it’s available on all live streaming platforms. I am a 25 yr Parks & Recreation/Maintenance Worker 1.
