Today we’d like to introduce you to Synamon Martin.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Funny you ask because basketball has always been my number one passion. Earning a basketball scholarship and back then thinking I’d go play overseas or the WNBA. However, God seen differently and after playing basketball for 15 years, I didn’t find it fun anymore. It felt like a business so I left the hardwood after college. I started teaching for Dekalb County School System in 2012. Trying to figure out what I was actually meant to do in this world, after all I love kids, and I loved teaching. However, after working ten years in the school system, I realized that wasn’t my passion either. Six years into teaching, I literally told myself “I want to do something of my own, something that’s mine.” After weeks of seeing lashes all over my IG timeline, I said “Hey, I think I could do this as a side hustle or something.” So in 2018, I took an extremely long lash course and learned everything I could possible learn about lashes and I never looked back. I never stopped grinding and continued to stay consistent. That consistency and grind eventually allowed me to leave the school system July of 2021 for good. That little side hustle that I thought I only had to make a little extra money on the side turned into something that would take care of my daughter and I without needing another job. I’ve even added other services to my business to enhance my brand like brow tinting and waxing, and lastly, camouflage tattooing, a process where I use ink to match your skin tones to conceal stretch marks and scars. That “little side hustle” that I had in mind isn’t so little anymore it’s turning into a beauty empire.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Like anything else when you’re starting a business everything can be slow. So in the beginning clientele was hard to get. I had to figure out different ways to advertise and market myself and I finally found out what business techniques worked best for what I wanted to do. I also had to figure out how to stand out from other lash artists and once I figured that out, oh I took that and ran with it.

I am a Lash Technician and Camouflage Tattoo Artist. I specialize in “Bringing your Beauty to Life” giving people their confidence back. I do classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume lashes. Those are the different sets of lashes that I offer. I also teach lash classes and certify students to provide lash services. I teach classes in and out of state. Teaching in groups or 1 on 1 learning styles. My Camouflage Tattoo service, I use inks to conceal stretch marks and scars that people may want covered. I match the inks to your skin tone for the perfect match. What I am most proud of is my progress. My business has thrived through a pandemic and continues to grow at a rapid pace. What sets me apart from others is the patience that I have and wanting to get the job done efficiently. I genuinely care about my clients so every service that I provide it’s done with love, care and patience. My customer service is unmatched, and all of my clients have a safe and clean environment to come to when they come to their appointments.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Consistency and giving my clients the best experience every single time they come to see me.
