Today we’d like to introduce you to Tayler Henry.
Hi Tayler, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a 21 years old entrepreneur & I’ve had my business for three years going on four. I started fresh out of high school, not knowing which direction I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. I knew nails were something I was interested in so I took a leap of faith and bought some supplies with my graduation money. I knew the basics already so it was very easy for me to teach myself how to do them. Once I felt comfortable enough to share my new passion, I posted them on social media and that’s all it took for me to take off with it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For me honestly, I can say it’s been a smooth road. Of course, you’re going to have some bumps in the road along your journey but that’s with every business. I feel like if it’s something your really passionate about and something you really want to do, you’ll get through it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
So I’m an esthetician, which specializes in skin, nails, waxing, and etc. I’m mostly known for my nails which I have been doing for three years. I actually have took it a step further and expanded into makeup and hair. I absolutely LOVE that I did that, it definitely makes it more fun to be able to be versatile. I feel like I made my mark in Gainesville especially because my hands are so talented.
How do you think about happiness?
Being able to do what I love the most… Seeing the look on people’s faces when I finish their hair or makeup or nails. I love making people feel confident or beautiful. I love when people give me my credit or flowers, definitely makes my day.
