Life & Work with Taylor Lawson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Lawson.

Hi Taylor, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. I moved here 2020 when I got accepted into grad school, through my time in grad school I sadly lost my aunt and grandmother and used writing as a coping mechanism to help through my grieving. I have been involved with music since childhood however. I debuted my EP on May 21st and hope everyone gets a chance to listen to it.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Is it a smooth road? No, but I am also very early in the industry so I have a lot more trials to go through. Being an independent artist, everything is on your dime, so it’s truly an investment on yourself. I know I’m fully invested in my writing and singing skills and I will invest in it for the rest of my life.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently just graduated grad school and work in clinical research. I am most proud of finishing grad school because being in school during COVID was so difficult and I wanted to quit so bad but I stuck through. I think what sets me apart from others is I’m not trying to be a voice for the people, I’m simply singing out how I feel and hope I get through to someone who feels no one understands.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can get through to me on my Instagram @lawsvn for collab or support
