Today we’d like to introduce you to Terence Stewart.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started making music/ Building Frozen Records ( Record label ) as a way to process life before I ever thought about an audience. Early on around age 11, it wasn’t about numbers or attention, it was survival, expression, and finding clarity in moments that felt heavy or uncertain. Music gave me somewhere to put pressure so it didn’t turn inward.
A major turning point in my life was experiencing a coma, For 7 days i walked the ancestral realm. i Saw many walks of life, went thru trials and tribulations and woke up empty minded. That moment forced everything to slow down. When you come that close to losing complete consciousness, or life itself, you gain a different relationship with time, purpose, and presence. Waking up from that shifted my perspective in a way nothing else could. It made me more intentional, not just with music, but with how I live.
After that, I stopped creating just to release emotion and started creating with direction. My music became about resilience, inner strength, and spiritual grounding because those were the things that carried me through recovery and self realignment. Each project since then feels like a checkpoint in my evolution rather than a standalone moment.
Where I’m at today is the result of persistence, reflection, and choosing growth over comfort. I’ve learned to move at my own pace, stay rooted in authenticity, and create from a place of truth rather than trend. My journey is still unfolding, but everything I put out now comes from a deeper awareness of how fragile and meaningful life really is.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road! Troubles with family understanding that I am not the same person as i used to be. Loosing friends that thought i was crazy for my abstract mind/ideals and relearning how to walk, talk and converse fluently were some of the toughest battles Ive ever faced.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At my core, I’m a recording artist, songwriter, producer and Engineer. What I really specialize in is translating lived experience into sound. My work sits at the intersection of self reflection, resilience, and spiritual grounding. Whether it’s hip hop, reggae, rnb or melodic records, the common notion is intention. Every song has a reason to exist.
I’m known for music that carries weight without forcing it. I don’t chase trends or formulas. I focus on honesty, energy, and presence. My sound reflects growth, inner strength, and the ability to stand firm through pressure. A lot of listeners connect to my work because it feels real, not manufactured. Something they can relate too!
What I’m most proud of is staying true to myself through every phase. After experiencing a coma and navigating recovery, I learned how fragile life really is. That shifted how I create. Since then, I’ve been intentional about making music that means something, music that people can sit with, reflect on, and draw strength from.
What sets me apart is perspective. I create from experience, not imitation. I allow my music to evolve as I evolve, and I’m comfortable letting truth lead rather than ego. I’m building something meant to last, not just in sound, but in impact.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I Love Atlanta For its Long stretch roads/ highways. Makes the night cruise pleasant… Windows down, music bumping, city landmarks passing you by. Its marvelous! What I like least about Atlanta is how people carry hate for each other and think violence solves anything. Customer service needs work too. post COVID, people changed and stopped caring for each other. everything Ive realized since moving from Brampton, Ontario to Atlanta many folks are selfish. Not everything needs to be about money.
