Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Hill.
Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was the product of high school sweethearts. Unfortunately, their marriage ended when I was only 18 months old. From what I remember as a child it was not a healthy relationship. I was primarily raised by my Mom in Georgia and my father was not as involved and resided in South Carolina. However, our relationship has since blossomed. So for the most part, it was just my Mom and I. We both were blessed when she found the love of her life, Gary Williams when I was 11 years old. He truly came in and changed my life. I’m super blessed to say I have 2 Fathers. Although, this was truly a blessing that I can now appreciate at the time I felt alone. A lot of my insecurities developed during that time. I struggled to find where I belonged. But with the love from my family and the strong sense of God in my life, I held on. And during that time, I vowed to inspire and motivate all who came in contact with me. Another huge part of me is being a big sister to 6, 3 on my Dad’s side and 3 on my Mom’s side. I attended Valdosta State University for two years. Then I moved back home, where I was employed at FedEx for 12 years. I was terminated illegally and ended up being paid unemployment for two years. My weight shot up to 355 lbs. but with my determination and an amazing husband, I’ve lost over 100 pounds. I then began my journey in Education. I love working with children. I worked for DeKalb County Schools for eight years and I’m currently employed by Atlanta Public Schools. I must admit I’ve had an amazing journey and I wouldn’t trade it for anything because good, bad and ugly experiences have created the person I am today.
Currently, I’m a wife of 17 years mom of three children ages 21, 16, 12. I’ve always been challenged with my weight and self-esteem. I must admit it is a constant battle but I’ve learned how to live the life that I deserve and I am committed to empowering the lives of others through faith, love, fitness, and lifestyle choices. Empowerment is more than helping someone. It gives them the power and confidence to make healthy choices on their own in health and life. My journey has been a learning experience full of highs and lows but I have finally learned to live my best life. I started a health and wellness business in 2019 and that transpired into a custom items business during Covid in order to supplement my income. I also started a youtube page Big Sister Vibes, which is my heart!! I love inspiring and motivating others. Although I’m not exactly where I desire to be, I know that I make a difference in the relationships I build with adults and children in my community and I will continue to ask God Daily to use me. As it is and will forever be my goal to inspire and motivate people all over.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Depression, Self Esteem issues, Daddy issues health issues – Jugular vein punctured during outpatient surgery, then an unused Lapband got tangled and I had to have emergency surgery to remove it. Financial troubles, the list could go on but I chose to live in greatness and show others that your challenges help to build character.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love creating and providing custom items for people. I provide quality items and great prices. I’m actually most proud of my ability to provide comfort and inspiration to others so know that if you shop with me not only will you get a great item but I’m going to drop a diamond and feed your mind and spirit.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m surely a risk taker. I stepped out on a limb during the pandemic. I left my job to pursue my business full-time. At the time I took the leap, I had no savings and no real plan. But I’m a firm believer that you will never know what will happen if you don’t try. You only get one shot at this thing called life. Have you ever wondered, what if ?? Well, I’m fed up with regrets!! Every day is a new journey. Life is truly what you make it. Don’t be afraid to live and experience life.
