Life & Work with Tiffany Mack

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Mack.

Hi Tiffany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Lucid Bliss because of the hair loss my mom was experiencing. As a hairstylist that specializes in haircare it was devastating that I couldn’t help my mom’s hair grow. So I decided to work with a chemist to come up with 1 product at the time which was the vitamin hair drops. And once we started to use them we started seeing great results actually and that was exciting. It took me about 18 months to get to a place where I felt like the product was perfect. But while we were going through the process I knew it would be better supported as a system so I decided to add shampoo and conditioner and a fragrance free edge control. Once we released the products we saw that others loved the products just as much as we did and that’s what keeps me going till this very day!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course NOT lol! So many trials and errors. There was no blueprint so I did a lot of things out of order like hiring PR to early! I learned a lot of expensive lessons lol. (Also me starting my nonprofit Bold Beginnings is my most recent hardest challenge but I know it will be worth it. It’s a non-profit where we want to impact permanent housing for homeless families. Since I was homeless before I have direct connection of what that feels like and I want to be a change maker in this particular area!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a celebrity hairstylist I’ve been doing hair for 25 years now! Wow, it sounds crazy to say that because it sounds like I’m old lol. I specialize in hair care but most importantly I specialize in professionalism and customer service which is very old school compared to a lot of the stories I hear nowadays lol. I am most proud of all of the celebrities that give me the opportunity and the trust to create! I love what I do and to be trusted with that is a blessing that I never take for granted! What sets me apart I believe is I educate my clients daily on haircare and when I create a style for them I make sure it’s the best option for the health of their hair not just for style purposes.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Well, I’m not from Atlanta but I LOOVEE it I just love to see how it’s a beautiful place where so many black people are thriving it’s a great feeling! I only hate that Atlanta is so far from NJ/ Lol.
