Tony Wright is a showrunner/executive producer of the best new romantic drama 80/20, Rule The Grass is Not Greener.
Tony decided that all relationships are always being tested. We see on social media that it is easier to see what is not real, but in a genuine relationship, we should stay and fall in love with the person that is ordine for us.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to this project has been rough. I mean doing crowdfunding campaigns and then having difficulty with them and some stealing money in the process.
There were times I asked myself is this worth it? I believe in my strength and the time that God has given me. Most importantly, I feel this show is a help to all, especially in opening up about general love.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a filmmaker who loves to tell stories that are edgy and loves to talk about faith and how hope gives us in each story. What sets me apart is knowing people can talk within the church but also we need to discuss at home and in our hearts. It is my purpose to bring those stories.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
Being a showrunner on this show has been great, but with people stealing. Some would say I lost my joy at it, but it made me say God doesn’t give my money. He qualifies who has the most faith.
