Today we’d like to introduce you to Turnt Bachelor.
Hi Turnt, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My brother signed with Warner Music Group in 2009 so I’ve been grateful to be around music in a professional way since a young age. After high school, I spent years working in different environments — from warehouse to customer service — but everything always circled back to music. That curiosity led me to the LA Film School, where I studied audio engineering and really learned how to turn raw creativity into a craft. The goal wasn’t just to make songs, it was to build something bigger — a full creative ecosystem where artists could thrive. That vision became PopularLoners®️ — a movement, a management branch, and eventually a label-in-the-making that represents individuality, purpose, and independence. Loners who shine the brightest in the room. Today, I work as an engineer at a major recording studio in Los Angeles, where I get to collaborate with a wide range of artists while continuing to grow my personal brand and community. Every session, every song, and every connection feels like another step toward building the empire I’ve always imagined — one rooted in creativity, ownership, and authenticity.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. The road has been anything but smooth. I remember taking a three-hour train to Los Angeles every day during college, just sitting with my thoughts and wondering if any of this was even worth it. There were moments where the grind felt heavier than the dream. I questioned myself constantly, especially when life outside the studio wasn’t lining up the way I imagined.
There were nights I really thought about giving up. But every time I listened to my music — it hit me in a way nothing else did. Sometimes it literally brought me to tears, because deep down I felt like my story, my voice, had to be heard before I leave this earth. That feeling kept me going.
Those struggles shaped my work ethic, my vision, and my purpose. They’re the reason I take independence, ownership, and creativity so seriously. Without those low points, I wouldn’t have the drive or perspective I have now.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an artist, audio engineer and founder of PopularLoners®️, which is more than just a name — it’s a creative community and a lifestyle brand for independent artists. I specialize in recording, mixing, and helping artists shape their sound from the ground up. But beyond the technical side, I’m big on artist development & branding — showing artists how to market themselves, move strategically, and build something sustainable.
I think what sets me apart is that I approach everything from both sides of the glass. I’m an artist myself, so I understand what it feels like to be on the mic — the nerves, the perfectionism, the hunger. But as an engineer & founder, I also understand what it takes to turn that raw emotion into something timeless. That dual perspective gives me an edge in how I connect with artists and pull the best out of them.
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come independently — no major backing, no shortcuts — just consistency, creativity, and belief. Every artist I’ve worked with, every studio I’ve stepped into, it’s all built on relationships and authenticity. PopularLoners®️ started as an idea, and now it’s growing into a real movement that represents independence, purpose, and ownership. That’s what I stand on.
What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been a leader, I was school president in 8th grade. Super cool, but the type of guy to only speak if spoken to.
