Life & Work with Twontavis Cuff of USA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Twontavis Cuff

Hi Twontavis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
At an early age, Twontavis Cuff took his relationship with Christ very serious. He knew at a young age that he didn’t want to “false claim” his walk with Christ. His first steps in the journey, by getting involved in church, helped him to seek and dive into God’s word more profoundly. As Twontavis matriculated through church his involvement in ministry never slowed down. Various ministries shaped his vision of the church through active servanthood:
– Junior Deacon
– Youth Choir
– Boys to Men Mentoring Program
– Pastor’s Aide Committee
– Finance Committee

And so many more that aren’t listed. Under the leadership of his Pastor, Dr. Daniel Simmons of the Mt. Zion Church in Albany, GA, not only did he grow in his Christian journey, but he learned the holistic infrastructure of the church. He learned the importance of discipleship and God’s desires and plans for the church. He learned that younger generations are the ones who will carry the legacy. The question was and still remains, how do we get others to come to this same realization?

The answer–maintaining church vibrancy.

With much prayer and the highs and lows of church experiences, Twontavis created FUTURE CEOs (Church Emerging Officers). In a business the CEO sets the foundation, the mission, and the standard for the business or organization. God is the church’s CEO and does the same thing in his word for this organism, the church. Twontavis believes if the youth and young adults are taught and guided through God’s word and exposed to kingdom leadership, the House will be in good hands.

Future CEOs exposes young adults to God’s plan of his church and the roles in His house. It is already written in the ministry’s foundational scripture. 2 Kings 2:9, “……And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.” Just like Elijah mentored Elisha, Future CEOs are actively mentored by influential church leaders. Launched in 2025, Pastor E. Dewey Smith Jr., senior pastor of The House of Hope ATL(The Greater Travelers’ Rest Baptist Church), has been the lead mentor by gracefully walking members/participants through church structure and organization.

Instead of churches wanting an active youth and/or young adult ministry, the current church leaders and the older generation has a mandate to establish relationships with the youth for the longevity of the church. Future CEOs is the space for preparing the next generation of church’s leaders. Prospective leaders need to be developed through relationship, mentorship, training, exposure, and service.

In other words, when it is time for Elijah–current leadership to pass the torch, Elisha–the Future CEOs, will be able to carry the torch with a double portion spirit in ministry to come.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When you are called to Christ, the focus isn’t on ease but obedience. There has been some bumps, but Twontavis believe the bumps were only tests. Of course, he can list numerous obstacles, but the most challenging one was and still is sometimes, the fear of failing. Sometimes when birthing a new project or idea, no one wants to fail or be ineffective. Trusting God daily and acknowledging Him in every way, has been the calm to all of Twontavis’ obstacles.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Twontavis recently entered year 5 of his law enforcement career. Twontavis relocated to the Atlanta area after obtaining a new position at a different precinct. He is also currently serving at the House of Hope ATL church assisting in ministry roles specifically tailored to youth and young adults all while hosting Future CEO trainings.

Twontavis is simply proud to be a bridge for his generation and current church leadership. He is honored to be a vessel.

For Twontavis, Future CEOs is not another class or training, but a community of purposeful future leaders.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Twontavis is an avid reader. When he isn’t studying the Bible, he enjoys leisurely reading leadership books.

Aside from that, one of his favorite Christian speakers, author and entrepreneur is Vusit Thembekwayo.
