Life & Work with Whitney Hatcher of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Hatcher

Hi Whitney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Just a shy girl from the D to the A who’s just trying to find her place here on earth. I’ve always been one with passion creation in almost any way you could think of. From music to cosmetology, jewelry & fashion, painting, and so much more . From 2018 to todays current time, my passions have been fuled by curiosity and a drive to master a new skill. Since graduating highschool in 2015, year after year I have explored all of these passions in search to find my specific niche or “purpose”. In turn, I’ve come to realize that maybe my “thing” or “purpose” is doing all of these and maybe God doesn’t want me to niche myself down to one thing. I’ve just been moving day by day based upon what phase of creating I want to be in. Since discovering these abilities, in 2020 I decided to learn how to monetize my talents through social media . In turn I came up with the name “ Themothershifter “ to sum up who I am to the public . This means to make a shift in consciousness on earth . Throughout my shifts, I’ve been lucky to learn public speaking, host events, and publish a cookbook . My most lucrative phases so far have been my relationship coaching phases where I’ve spent time advocating and educating on different relationship dynamics, vegan chef phase, as well as teaching beauty and etiquette. Over the past 4 years of growing a large social media presence, giving birth to my first baby girl March of 2024 has inspired me to grow even into my womanhood , jump into mommy mode and share of my knowledge I’ve gained as a lady. This phase so far is the most dearest to me because I now have a daughter looking up to me . It makes me think back when my mother enrolled me in a young ladies mentorship program and how much I really dreaded going but how much it subliminally taught me. It had brought upon a full circle moment and for that I must thank God and my Mother.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since making my presence known on social media it has been far from easy mentally and financially. With all of my controversial takes on relationships, came viral moments of hate and love. at times it became a bother reading negative things about yourself even when I knew they were just projections. While maintaining my social media presence, I were also dealing with homelessness at some points. This made things even tougher to continue to show up everyday for the camera trying to maintain steady stream of income . Another challenge for me would be hosting in person events for the first time. Event planning was done mostly by me and set up by me and a few helping hands. This event was my Poly Love ATL event held in midtown. Although I did not have everything I wanted for the event, the event turned out amazing and our guest enjoyed themselves . . That experience made me realize that as much as I would like to do things on my own, teamwork is necessary when it comes to business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a creator with gifted hands. From hairstyling, modeling, jewelry & fashion designing, songwriting & production, Hosting, to author and ladies mentor. Currently I specialize in mentoring younger ladies in beauty & etiquette . However I am widely known on social media for my “ poly relationship “ content and “ beauty and etiquette content . What I am most proud of is who I’ve become today . Which is the version of me that is now a mother and learning and growing from my past experiences that has no become a testimony of mine. What sets me part for mothers is my humbleness and authenticity. Not many people in the public eye can say show up unapologetically themselves and maintain a healthy ego simultaneously.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is be still sometimes . There is so much pressure a a young lady trying to find your place in the world while wanting to reach your version of success. But I’ve realized that’s I’ve jumped around so fast and so much that it has resulted in me making permanent decisions from a temporary phase . Take you time . Trust your first mind .
