Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m AAkia been doing hair for about seven years and lashes two years. Started doing hair at my house for years and recently was blessed to work in a shop! It’s been a journey but a blessing itself. I honestly love what I do! I can’t wait until the whole world knows my name. The name came to me, I want my clients to feel like “THAT GIRL” or “The Man” then they leave my chair it’s the experience for meeeee!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I took a break from doing hair and lashes to focus on myself and I noticed it was all I wanted to do. I wanted to throw in the towel so many times but my friends, family and clients continued to encourage me to keep going. God himself also kept me going and I’m still here blessing crowns!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in natural hair, Locs, and soft locs. I start loc journeys as well. The service I also offer are the mink lashes
How do you think about luck?
I honestly don’t believe in luck, God kept me in business, and without him, I’m nothing, period.
