Meet Abner Jackson III of AJ3Report in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abner Jackson III.

Abner, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I wrote two articles for Ozone Magazine in 2002 when it was located in Orlando, Florida. Shortly after, I registered for the Journalism class at Seminole Community College in 2003. I became a writer for the Scribe there and eventually wrote a few articles for the Orlando Times. Once I relocated to Atlanta, I started writing for Stacks Magazine then I became a writer and Media Correspondent for VEU Magazine.  I started the AJ3Report in March of 2018 based on me wanting to start my own website. I had developed many relationships writing throughout the years and have interviewed some of the same people 3 or 4 times. A lot of people are willing to work with me again based on our previous relationships. I’m still learning and it’s more challenging doing everything myself. It’s more joyous having success with something you put your heart into compared to someone else’s. I will continue to make a name for my website and build relationships along the way. The relationships and support is needed for most businesses to succeed.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t and I didn’t expect it to be right away. Most businesses have challenges along the way and trouble doesn’t always last. I wish I had more social media followers on Facebook and Instagram. Most of my traffic comes from Instagram and I get a lot of fake followers that I have to block. I’m still trying to learn how to master the hashtags for my posts on Instagram.  I Wish the good amount of traffic I receive would turn in to more followers, but I’m very thankful for the support I have received.

AJ3Report – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My website is about entertainment, sports, food, models, fashion/sneakers and different businesses. I do a Model Spotlight, Working Woman Wednesday, Abners Good Eats and Shout Out Sunday sections. In my Abners Angels section, I interview models from all over the world and all ethnic backgrounds. My Working Woman Wednesday and Shout Out Sunday I interview up and coming people that’s making a name for themselves along with celebrities and others. My Abners Good Eats is fairly new and I spotlight great restaurants that I been to. I just try to be different with my website, stay in my lane and follow my own blueprint. My proudest moment is doing media for three events during Super Bowl Weekend in Atlanta recently. I just interviewed R-Truth from the WWE and Miami Tip from Love & Hip Hop Miami. Interviewing 8 ball & MJG and Karon Joseph Riley was proud moments also.
