Today we’d like to introduce you to Adora Tokyo.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey as an artist began when I graduated from the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis and continued my studies at the Makeup Designory in NYC, New York. Since then, I’ve become a Celebrity Makeup Artist, working on live television, film and editorial fashion for the past 10 years. Permanent Makeup was a natural evolution for me to grow in the world of cosmetics. My obsession with beauty enhancements led to the start of Die Gorgeous. Originally from Atlanta, I relocated back in 2015 to create the Flagship location for my new business. I’m a Mother, a DJ and all-around lover of the arts.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Owning and operating a permanent makeup business in Atlanta has been a learning adventure. The road has had its share of twists and speed bumps, but all-in-all I’m open-minded to the experience. Similar to traditional body art tattoos, a Microblading Procedure can be uncomfortable and painful. Although a topical anesthetic is used, client’s generally arrive feeling nervous and anxious. I’ve learned how to speak to their anxiety and help them find a calm space before their transformation. I’ve embraced the delayed gratification I receive from seeing my work now. The skin needs to heal completely, so Permanent Makeup results aren’t glamorous until about 3 weeks after the procedure. Patience is a virtue.

Die Gorgeous is the Art of Permanent Cosmetics. Today, we specialize in Brow Tattoo procedures utilizing the Microblading technique to create hair-like strokes for sparse brows. We’re known for creating custom brows for each client, providing natural-looking results. Our work never looks sever or drawn-on, it’s really incredible! Our website is beautiful and innovative. We update our site weekly with flash-sales to provide affordable beauty procedures. The 5- Star Reviews we consistently receive on Yelp and Facebook are our pride and joy!

I have to give credit to my Father, he has been an early believer in Die Gorgeous, investing in the development of the business and providing FREE legal advice (He’s an attorney).
