Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Mosby.
Adrian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started with a dream. Literally December 16th, 2014 I had a dream about being on the set of a movie as a cinematographer. When I awoke Dec 17th, I bought a canon 7dmkii from amazon and it arrived on the 21st. I first started off with photography, but quickly moved on to doing more video focused work. I still do photography, but video is my primary focus.
Over the years I’ve shot music videos, commercials, films, skits and vlogs. My focus now is to do more creative work on sets with teams instead of the run and gun, one man army style I’ve been doing.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Creatively, it has been pretty smooth. I feel I’ve tackled many experiences I was brand new too at the time head on and executed to the best of my abilities. of course there was always something to improve on and something to learn from each gig, but still true today and will be true for the rest of my career. and life for that matter. The business side has a bit of a learning curve, but I’m up for the challenge. I’d rather learn it before hiring someone to do it for me so I know whats going on.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company Be Lucid Productions, originally Lucid Creations started off as a video production company. Now I’m leaning more towards becoming a digital agency, helping businesses and personal brands big and small produce content for any platform. As I’m still learning what comes with that, I’m starting with my own company. I believe my specialty lies in producing the best quality content no matter what limits are placed on a project. Such as location limits, last-minute cancellations, and time constraints. No matter what, we produce top quality content. What sets me apart is the ability to take the clients vision and not only bring it to life but bring it to life better than it was imagined. I communicate with them and find out the inspiration behind a concept, song, story, and what they want it to do when released and WE make it happen. together. synergy is very important to me.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was pretty balanced in the sense that I played sports and games like hide and seek outside with friends as well as spending plenty of time by myself playing with my toys and making adventures for them. My interests were whatever I could get my hands on. If someone was willing to teach me, I was willing to learn. I’m a bit more focused with what I learn and what I take an interest in these days, but that trait remains.
