Meet Adriane Phinazee of Matters of the Heart by Adriane in Griffin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriane Phinazee.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in Griffin, GA. I have always enjoyed journaling and inspiring others through my creative writings since I was in the 9th grade. I’ve always dreamed of being a best selling author and it was not until last year that I stepped out on faith and decided to self publish my first book “Overcoming Fear with Faith” on August 18, 2018. I am a former contributing writer for a local gospel magazine in which I am truly passionate about writing devotionals and other inspirational writings. I truly love inspiring, educating, and empowering others to reach their highest potential and to walk in their God-given purpose.

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. One of the biggest struggles is making sure that I find content that will be engaging to my target audience and obtaining REAL customers.

I am learning in order to build a platform that sets me apart from others is to be consistent. Consistently posting on social media, working diligently to build my brand, and networking is one of those things that I must master to grow my business. Once I master that, customers will come and stay.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Matters of the Heart by Adriane – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
As the founder of Matters of the Heart by Adriane, I wanted to share my passion with as many people as possible as an inspirational writer and self-published Christian author. I am known for the self-published book “Overcoming Fear with Faith” in which the lessons of this book allows others to overcome fear and walk into faith. I wanted my readers to know that God is able to conquer all of their fears in spite of their obstacles in life and he wants us to “fear not”. II Timothy 1:7 states that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. In other words, God has given himself through the Holy Spirit to overcome the enemies of our healing and deliverance. Don’t you love when God reminds us how big He is? When our relationships fall apart, we tend to think that’s the end of things. But God is capable of restoring relationships in ways that we never would think possible. To embrace your faith from overcoming fear, you must be willing to let go of old mindsets and thoughts. Allow God to renew your mind and create in you a clean heart to soar into your God-given purpose.

What I am most proud of as a company is being able to display strength, power, and confidence to reflect the transparency, realness, and freedom of being hurt, broken, bruised, and rejected in two marriages in which both ended in divorce by the time I was 40 years old.

What sets me apart from others is having an extremely creative mind which allows me to produce unique writing techniques to inspire and encourage women and men who have been in broken relationships because of my loyalty, trust, and belief in God who has been there to lead and guide me to become who I am today. I have learned that it takes a strong heart to love but it takes an even stronger heart to continue to love after it’s been
hurt.

Along with process of two divorces. I want women and men alike to understand that you can ease depression with a pen when you give yourself 10 – 15 minutes a day to sit and write. This will allow you to gain a healthier state of mind. I pray for strength, confidence, and power to each of my readers that whatever tool God has placed in their path that they would utilize it to walk in their purpose. As I continue with my journal of life, I have learned that it takes a strong heart to love but it takes an even stronger heart to continue to love after it has been hurt.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like the most about Atlanta and its surrounding neighborhoods is what it has to offer. It has diversity and the opportunities are endless from what I’ve experienced.

I dislike the traffic.
