Meet Adrienne Taylor of Goddess Couture Lashes in Berkeley Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Taylor.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started doing lash extension in 2012 while enrolled in school for Esthetics. Upon graduating from Esthetics school I was blessed to do 3 celebs in one week, which catapulted my career to the next level. I consider myself a life learner and I wanted to learn more specified training in my field of work. I became interested in permanent makeup a few years ago and trained with Phi Brows and Phi Contour in Microblading and Permanent Makeup. I also received a certification in Scalp Micropigmentation from a company based out of Israel. I’ve recently started sharing my knowledge and developed my own course for Microblading.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It been tough Atlanta is a very competitive market in the lash industry. Many lash techs are not licensed and they have driven the price of lashes down. That is why I wanted to learn more skilled techniques to differentiate myself from the rest of the industry. I’ve spent a lot of money on education and traveled internationally to learn my craft.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Goddess Couture Lashes – what should we know?
I’m know for initially my lash extensions, I consider myself an master in lash artistry, I’m also a certified Microblading artist, I also can do permanent eyeliner, brows and lip contour. I’ve also have a learning curve and have been practicing Scalp Micropigmentation which is hair follicle simulation. For men this is to create a hairline or fill in male pattern baldness. Same for women who have some deficiencies in their scalp. I’m most proud because there isn’t a lot of African American women in permanent makeup and I want to be a pioneer for my culture to really understand Ethnic skin,

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Knowledge it’s been a learning curve with dealing with pigment in different types of skin, I’m passionate about what I do and I’m my worst critique. I don’t give up I continue to try to improve my business via Marketing and social networks.
