Today we’d like to introduce you to Akayshia Barbee.
Akayshia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
2017 was a year that changed my life forever. My son passed away from a tragic accident and I was in a dark place. Fighting to see the light again, I wanted to get back into what I loved doing, which was hip hop dance and starting a career as a model, but tie that in with helping women. Not knowing how I was going to do that, God gave me a vision so I wrote it down and made it plain. I reached out to several individuals for guidance and it wasn’t a success. I ran across a stranger who is now my good friend, Wiley Day, who was already in the business I was seeking guidance on. With his help, AEB Talent Agency was born. With his entertainment company and my agency, we became two companies with one vision. We successfully have done 5 Fashion Productions in North Alabama with the audience ranging from 200 to now 400 people of all ages and nationalities within a year and half. This is only the beginning!! AEB Talent Agency and Day II Entertainment is always looking for new talents to put on a platform and expand horizons. We help build character and confidence in every individual we come in contact with. It’s more than just a job it’s a passion. With that being said, we hope to catch you at the next fashion production that was just a vision and is now a reality. Everyone has to start somewhere; it’s just a matter of when will you start !!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was never a smooth road and I don’t expect it to be, what road is? My biggest challenge is dealing with depression and realizing that what I’m doing is not just for me but for those surrounded around me.

AEB Talent Agency recruits individuals wanting to experience their life long dreams. We specialize in helping critic those in the field they are wanting to achieve as a goal. What set us apart from anyone else is that you do not have to have experience, we teach everything our talents need to know. We give them that opportunity no one else gave them before. As a company, I believe we are most proud of the consistency and the persistence that we all have to be able to keep thriving as a whole.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The Goals for the 2 Companies 1 Vision (AEB Talent Agency and Day II Entertainment) has been planned out monthly, quarterly, and yearly! With God’s will, every goal will be hit on time, which will also be God’s timing. With that being said, there will automatically be change with the targets being hit that has been set out.
