Meet Alecia Hill of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alecia Hill.

Hi Alecia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Lost in the Shadows began as survival—but it became an awakening.

I started in a place many people quietly endure but rarely name: grief, emotional loss, fractured identity, and the slow disappearance of self beneath trauma, love, and silence. On the outside, I was functioning. Internally, I was disconnected—questioning my worth, my faith, and my purpose while navigating relationships that blurred the line between love and survival.

For years, I lived in the shadows—showing up for everyone else while abandoning myself. I believed strength meant endurance, not awareness. But the shadows became the place of awakening. In the darkness, I began to see clearly. I confronted truths I had avoided, broke unhealthy soul ties, grieved deeply, and began to hear my own voice again. What once felt like loss revealed itself as revelation.

Writing Lost in the Shadows was not about revisiting pain—it was about awakening to truth, power, and identity. It was the moment I realized healing is not passive, faith can question and still be rooted, and awakening often happens after everything familiar collapses.

Today, I stand as an author and speaker not because I escaped the darkness, but because I awakened within it. This memoir is both a testimony and an invitation—proof that shadows do not mean the absence of God or purpose. Sometimes, they are the doorway to clarity, freedom, and becoming whole.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. The road has been anything but smooth.

The journey behind Lost in the Shadows was marked by emotional pain, spiritual wrestling, and moments of deep uncertainty. I faced grief that lingered longer than expected, relationships that required painful endings, and the internal struggle of unlearning survival patterns I once believed were strength. There were seasons of silence—where clarity felt distant and healing felt slow—and moments when I questioned my voice, my worth, and whether telling my story was worth the vulnerability it required.

One of the greatest struggles was awakening while still wounded—learning to see truth without yet knowing how to fully live it. Healing demanded accountability, surrender, and the courage to confront uncomfortable realities about love, boundaries, faith, and self-identity. Writing the memoir itself was challenging, forcing me to revisit moments I had buried just to keep going.

But those struggles became the foundation of transformation. Every obstacle refined my voice and deepened my compassion. What wasn’t smooth was sacred—and it shaped the clarity, honesty, and purpose that now define my work.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Divine Transformation on TikTok is where I create content focused on spiritual awakening, healing, and self-discovery. I specialize in helping people recognize cycles, break unhealthy patterns, and reconnect with their identity and faith.

I’m known for delivering honest, grounded insight that meets people where they are—especially during moments of awakening and transition. What I’m most proud of is the impact: people feeling seen, empowered, and encouraged to choose healing.

What sets me apart is authenticity. I speak from lived transformation, not trends, guiding others toward clarity, wholeness, and purpose.

What matters most to you?
hat matters most to me is truth and transformation. Truth brings awareness, and awareness creates freedom. For much of my life, I survived by minimizing my own needs and silencing my voice. Awakening taught me that healing begins when we are honest—with ourselves, with God, and with our story.

Transformation matters to me because I’ve lived the cost of remaining unhealed, and I’ve witnessed the power of choosing growth. Everything I do—my writing, my content, my work—is rooted in helping people move from survival to clarity, from silence to wholeness. That shift changes lives, families, and generations.
