Meet Alexis Santana of SanDee’s Essential Glam

San and Dee have been best friends since 9th grade! Their friendship/sister ship was always built on beauty, glitz, and glamour. Ironically, the friendship started over a mirror. They’ve always had an eye for fashion. Dee has always wanted to be in the fashion business, and San gave her the extra push of encouragement. When they were younger, Dee would pick outfits for her and San! San was always responsible for the shoe gear. SanDee’s Essential Glam, LLLP, is an online retailer of CURVY-EDGY-CASUAL wear. The Company’s Founders are best friends Santana Glaze (San) and Ca’Deezysha Burnam (Dee). The company was incorporated in the State of Georgia on July 5, 2020. The official “launch” Date was September 28, 2020. SanDee’s owners created the business because of their challenges in finding CURVY- EDGY-CASUAL wears for ladies gifted with a little extra on top, in the middle, and the bottom. SanDee’s Target Market are ladies between 23 – 35 who were gifted with a little extra on top, in the middle and the bottom. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s not smooth sailing; it’s a lot of hard work and dedication. Plenty of long days and sleepless nights for us, but it’s been worth it. The hardest part was finding the right materials, especially for launching. We wanted to make sure that we keep our customers interested—marketing and developing a brand for ourselves to track the right customers. Our clothing projects the women we are becoming and not just Urban Wear.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
We ensure that our clothing’s quality is satisfactory to our customer base (curvy women)—affordable and excellent quality clothing.
