Meet Ali Silva Chapellin of Tacos Tortillas y Mas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Silva Chapellin.

Hi Ali, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 1996, I moved to the US from Venezuela. That year, I worked in a Mexican restaurant for the first time in my life. The experience was successful, and I ended up working there a year later as the general manager. Subsequently, I was involved in the opening of a restaurant from its inception and managed it for three years. Afterward, I worked in management positions at several restaurants.
For the past 10 years I’ve dedicated myself entirely to managing taco stands at gas stations, and that’s what I currently do at Taco Tortillas y Mas

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it had not been smoothly. The biggest obstacles are lack of experience and economic challenges.

Tacos Tortillas y Mas is a Mexican fast-food restaurant with a Venezuelan touch. Our goal is to recreate, to the best of our ability, the best of Mexican and Venezuelan cuisine.

We prepare homemade food with the best ingredients available in the market and, above all, with great respect for their origin. We are known for our variety in the small format we offer. Tacos, tortas, quesadillas, tamales, sopes, tequeños, and empanadas are just some of what we make.

We offer quality, reasonable prices in relation to the high cost of our raw materials, warm service, and above all, we want to be a successful business that can connect with the Smyrna community.
