Meet Aline O’Neill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aline O’Neill.

Hi Aline, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised here in Georgia, my parents would tell you that I was dramatic from the start. I loved entertaining my family and putting on “shows” with my little sister and friends. (There is literally a video of me as a toddler following one of said “shows” where I look directly into the lens and say, “Okay, camera, what do you want me to do next?”) It all began in elementary school when I decided that I wanted to sing in public for the first time at the talent show. This led to many years of voice lessons and children’s theater productions. I spent my teens balancing my time between our school plays and musicals, an extracurricular pre-professional training program, and working with coaches to prepare for college auditions. After auditioning for 20 different programs, I chose to attend Missouri State University to pursue a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. During my first year, the program director and several other professors suggested that I had strong acting abilities and should also explore on-camera work. My dad always told me that I’d be on television one day, but I never imagined that could actually be true!

I jumped at the first audition I found and ended up booking the job. This project led to lifelong friendships and connections within the local film community, and before I knew it, I was taking part in every opportunity that came along. I worked on a web series, short films, and feature films with stories ranging from an anonymous assassin’s group to a thrilling slasher and even a horror/comedy/musical. I took every class I could find and educated myself on the business as much as possible in preparation for my New York and Los Angeles senior showcases. When the time came around, I submitted my materials to different representatives, where I ended up meeting and signing with my management team (whom I adore). I then made the move back to Atlanta, where I’ve continued my training, was introduced to my awesome agency, and booked my first network job!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This business, by nature, is filled with obstacles and challenges, but I am blessed to have an incredible support system behind me. (This feels like a good time to thank my family and friends, my team, and everyone who has helped me along the way. I wouldn’t be where I am without y’all.)

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an actor most known for my recurring role as Emma Campano on ABC’s new crime series Will Trent, now streaming on Hulu. So far this year, I have filmed a network pilot, and I’m currently working on a television series for streaming. (Looking forward to being able to share more in the coming months!) Meanwhile, I am a part of multiple independent projects that are in post-production and/or currently having successful film festival runs.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
When I’m not acting, you can find me gaming! ☻ I’m planning to start a Twitch channel by the end of this year, so make sure to check that out if you enjoy League of Legends gameplay.
