Today we’d like to introduce you to Allie Marmion.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We started our photography company as a leap of faith. We left 9 to 5 jobs to take a chance on our photography skills. Photography has been a hobby for most of our lives. it has always been something we truly enjoyed. When we started NGM, we focused on commercial photography. As we developed relationships with the models we worked with, we realized there was a need. We wanted to fill the need. Our company not only trains models but we also work with up and coming photographers. We help them build their portfolios and experience in this unique photography field. NGM has become more than just work, we are a family. We have learned so much in our 13 years in the business. We are spending the next year traveling around the world and continuing to expand our company.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We have a very strong team but with any new business, you will have some challenges. The photography and modeling community is not as big as you would think in this area. It was challenging getting models who were a good fit for our company. We are a very family friendly company and have always sought out models and collaborators who fit that style. There was a lot of trial and error but we persevered and here we are!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the NGM Modeling story. Tell us more about it.
NGM Modeling is a one-stop shop for models. We represent models but we also hire them for commercial photo shoots. NGM is committed to educating and helping models get better at their craft. We also bring in new photographers, educate them and help them get their photography businesses off the ground. We have been very blessed in our journey and we want to share our knowledge with those who want to get better. Our goal is to be known for helping to lift others up. We are proud to call our team, family.
