Today we’d like to introduce you to Alonte’ Thomas.
Alonte’, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I experienced an obstacle that put me in Grady Hospital for 30 days due to me being stabbed in my heart twice with a butcher knife. My best friend, Known to the world as “Dc Young Fly” influenced me to take different routes and think different In such a positive way that I eventually self-published my first novel by the name of “Scars Of Wisdom” based on a true story.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My journey definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I mean, my heart is sowed up with thread so that could give you somewhat of an insight. Basic people would want the finer things but me, I just want to be healthy. It’s not a race, only a marathon but like that saying goes, “If it’s easy, it won’t be worth it and if it’s worth it, it be easy”.
Scars Of Wisdom LLC – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The name of my business is “Scars Of Wisdom Enterprise”. At Scars Of Wisdom Enterprise we sell shirts for adults and kids, stickers, hoodies, custom hats, and of course books! Although the business is progressing, I’m mostly known for the Non-Fiction Novel itself (Scars Of Wisdom, Based On A True Story) which I was fortunate enough to self-publish through Amazon.com. What sets me apart from the rest is that my work is Authentic! No fabrication or lies and outside of simply being motivated by a few individuals, my work was done by me and only me! I like to think I deserve some love for that.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is looking back on your body of work and seeing the growth of your mental not just the financial. I have ebooks, paperback copies, audiobooks on the way, but the marker that matters to me the most is making an official movie for the book itself. Once that’s done, I like to think that I would finally have a complete project.
