Today we’d like to introduce you to Reco Devonn.
Reco, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The way I was introduced to the fitness lifestyle/industry was that I changed my mindset to actually wanting to look different and CREATE a greater lifestyle for myself. I was 22 when I actually made that decision. At that point and time, I KNEW NOTHING about weights, the human body. I joined a boxing gym “Total Boxing Gym” located in Alpharetta Georgia where I met owner Patrick Webb.
I took my vision seriously. I studied strength and anatomy books, nutrition books over and over. I became OBSESSED with the lifestyle. Owner Patrick Webb saw potential in my work ethic and helped me with my vision of becoming a personal trainer. I pursued the occupation and became the trainer I am today.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all. Nothing worth keeping and building come EASY. Establishing your foundation and clientele for your own business is a process. But is WORTH it.
Grinding to establishing clientele was the most challenging part for me in the beginning. Once I learned the advertising components to bring in new potential clients everything began to grow gradually.
What are your plans for the future?
Changing more people’s lives. Building a strong fitness organization that will spread across the globe and inspire more people. I’m planning on building a greater and stronger foundation of my brand. Owning my own gym is one of my major GOALS.
Let’s dig a little deeper into your story. What was the hardest time you’ve had?
The hardest time in my career was actually growing my clientele. The process was SLOW. But every business has to start somewhere. I had to look at what I was doing versus what I could do more of to attract more clients. So I planned out the strategies and I executed
Do you ever feel like “Wow, I’ve arrived” or “I’ve made it” or do you feel like the bulk of the story is still unwritten?
I started to see a change in my level of being a trainer was attracting, model agency companies, and having a chance to appear on an episode of Real housewives Atlanta.
