Thanks for sharing your story with us Alysha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was a broke college mother, homeless and helpless. I didn’t know what to do or how to do it. I was going to school for audio and video, I then realized that I could not only make a video to perfect my craft but showcase them for feedback and appreciation. Being a single mother was a task in itself, but I knew I needed income and wanted to complete school. Little did I know that starting your channel and making money from youtube was a lot harder than expected. So now I’m working for free with bills and a child tough right? Then being kicked out of my dorm because me and my son was there and it was against policy. So now I’m broke, in school a mother and homeless. Nevertheless, I wasn’t going to give up on my dreams and aspirations. I am a graduate from Savannah State University and a thriving channel on youtube called Its Mariee. Even though I may not have a million subbies (what I call my subscribers) I am still living my dream and making enough to do better than I was. To me, any progress is a step closer. Nothing has ever been easy for me but it has made me who I am, I know my strength and weakness. I am ME, and that is something nobody can ever take.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Its Mariee – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Its Mariee is a youtube channel that promotes self-love, realness and relate-ability. I showcase myself the best way I know how, which is through video. What makes my channel unique is the I am honest and I show not only ups but my downs as well. I also by giving different content for each person who may come across my channel. I am also always looking to collaborate with other YouTubers as well big or small. I am always trying to help the next person that may want to do this a career, send them my way.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the next five-ten years, I will be a huge plus-size model, influencer and maybe even a host. I will be on a screen near you soon. I love to do what works for me so I don’t know if any major changes may occur but I open to it if it does.
