Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Owen.
Alyssa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m the Founder of The Yoga Loft, a studio based in Milton making waves in the industry and shattering people’s perceptions of what yoga is. With 15 years of experience practicing yoga on my own, and seven years as an E-RYT and YACEP certified yoga instructor, I have vast experience running several studios and teaching classes for all levels.
As a young mom, I understand how hard it is to find balance and time. Seeking an escape to carve time for yourself and do something you love is crucial to living a more balanced life.
Fueled by my love for yoga, upbeat playlists, and passion to have a positive impact on people’s lives, The Yoga Loft was born.
Yoga is such a well-balanced activity that allows you to calm your mind and strengthen your body. The thing is, most people think of traditional yoga.
I’m on a mission to reinvent what people think of yoga and introduce a full-bodied experience that livens their soul, boosts their confidence, takes away the stress, and supports a stronger, more balanced lifestyle.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Opening a business post-covid hasn’t been the easiest. Dates were pushed back, inspections were impossible to schedule on time, and we opened about a month after we originally planned. But it was all worth it and the community embraced us with open arms. I was so worried that people would get aggravated when I had to push back the initial opening date, but everyone was so understanding and showed us nothing but love and support.
We’ve been impressed with The Yoga Loft, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At The Yoga Loft, we are on a mission to provide a high-end studio experience that combines upbeat music, chill vibes, and a new perspective of yoga to the mat. By doing so, we cultivate an exclusive community of individuals who feel empowered, confident, and stronger.
We want to share our love for yoga, make it fun, and super accessible to everyone. We want to break it down in a digestible way and get everyday people to flow, move, sweat, and have a good time. Ultimately, we’re redefining the way people view yoga and elevating the traditional experience.
Through our variety of classes and teachers, we create a fun, high-vibe experience for everyone to discover a new take on yoga. By fostering a tight-knit community, we provide our members with the full gamut of support, energy, and empowerment. Anything you need, we’ve got you covered. We take care of you so you don’t have to worry about anything but showing up and having fun.
We are for everyone and built on an all-inclusive community. We are a studio where people of all levels can come together to feel empowered, grow stronger, and have fun.
Our experience drills down to honesty, trust, and quality. Everything brought to the mat is done with the intention to ensure the best experience possible.
Our sole purpose is to reinvent how people view yoga by introducing an exclusively elevated experience that breathes life and fresh air into the “typical” and “traditional” views of yoga.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m a lululemon ambassador and I’m always doing events in the area to support our local community. We work with local schools, neighborhoods, and brands for free events and classes.
