Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Stafford.

Hi Amanda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my business to aid people in creating new experiences in life. In a world filled with so much diversity, culture, and beliefs someone would need to get out and experience it for themselves to gain a new perspective. I encourage everyone to travel the world and learn not only about the world around them but themselves as well. I wanted to create an avenue that considered people’s budgets to help them to plan and book new travel experiences.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building a travel company has definitely come with challenges especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Travelers were hesitant to purchase trips, so this forced me to create a different avenue for travel. I focused my attention towards domestic travel and purchasing travel insurance. Starting a business requires you to think outside of the box and think big at all times. Discovering the actual formalities of building a business was also a challenge as I went to school for education. I sought assistance from experts in the entrepreneurship industry. I do not believe in making things harder than what they have to be, just learn from other’s past mistakes. I scheduled coaching calls and consistently requested feedback from others around me. Always be willing to learn, this will continue to help your business to grow.

We’ve been impressed with BFD Travel, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in maximizing discounts that offers my clients the opportunity to experience luxury travel. These discounts may include AAA/AARP, Military or Government, Student or Teacher, Early Booking Promo Codes, and many more. I offer my clients affordable payment plans with low deposits or no deposit at all. I have been a travel advisor since 2018 and I am passionate about helping my clients to save money while traveling. Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Developing the business plan and remaining consistent even when you don’t immediately see the results of your work were some of the hardest hurdles to cross. I continued to tell myself that if I was given the vision then the clients would come, jut stay consistent. Consistency and discipline have allowed me to grow on this journey, and it is two of the first characteristics I look for when searching for new business partners.
