Meet Amber Beck of Queendom Health and Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Beck.

Amber Beck

Hi Amber, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a certified health and wellness coach. I started my business by “accident.” I lost a good bit of weight in 2018 in preparation for my best friend’s wedding. A few people started asking me how I did it, so I started a group chat and used it to help a few friends. I would have them send me their meals. I would send them healthy recipes and check in with everyone. I just wanted to keep them accountable for their eating habits. I’m a perfectionist, so I eventually wanted to do more. I wanted to invest in them and help them invest in themselves, so I started weigh-ins and workout challenges to keep them motivated and on track. I turned it into a business after I realized how much money I was investing while trying to make the program unique and valuable. I wrote down all the ways I wanted to help women, and I created a program. I wanted to really put my all into the program, so I went back to school and got certified as a health and wellness coach through Emory University.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been easy at all. I initially struggled with the transition of dealing with friends on a professional level versus a personal one. Some boundaries had to be put in place, and that was not easy. I also struggled with the certification class. I really wanted to just quit. It was so hard. I tell people that getting my certification was tougher than getting my Masters Degree. I was working a full-time job, trying to continue to run my business, and going through things in my personal life as well. I cried a lot. There were also a few days that I questioned if I needed to invest so much into this. I didn’t know if I would ever see a return on my investment. I was struggling with a lot of self-doubt.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Queendom Health and Wellness?
With a sea of online programs out there, it’s a real head-scratcher to know which one to pick. I’ve been there, done that, and got the T-shirt. What sets QHW apart is that it’s not just another cookie-cutter program. It’s a community built around my personal weight-loss struggles and experiences. As a women’s weight-loss coach and social worker, I wanted to create a safe space where we could all feel comfortable in our skin, without judgment. QHW isn’t just about shedding pounds, it’s about finding your inner warrior and building a supportive tribe of like-minded ladies. We welcome women of all stages of their lifestyle journeys. We are a community, so we “adjust each other’s crowns” when they start to fall.  I have clients who met through the program and are now working out together regularly. Some beautiful friendships have been born in the program. I get emotional thinking about it. Having someone who knows your goals and has similar goals makes the journey smoother. We really just love each other to health!

I also have a free community app that can be a resource for women who aren’t quite ready. to commit to the program yet.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Hands down: Disney! I went when I was about 10 years old. It was my first real vacation.
