Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber OFair.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Raise The Bar Investment Group was created from one of the biggest heartaches I had ever experienced in my life. Like so many people, I had this picture in my mind of how my life was supposed to go. I was engaged and slated to be married in June 2020… “finally, I was going to be married”. In December 2019, that relationship quickly turned into bad dream. I was forced with the reality that this relationship was not going to work and I had to make a tough decision to stay in a relationship that” looked good”, but wasn’t good for soul or take a leap of faith and trust that God had something better for me. Of course, I took that leap of faith. See everyone talks about “having faith”, but you never know what that truly means until you have to walk it out. The beginning of 2020 was the scariest year for me. Here I am a single mother, over 30, & barely enough money to cover my rent because I had gotten used to my spouse paying majority of the bills. I had not stewarded my money for the “what if this doesn’t workout”. I remember feeling so disappointed with myself that I had allowed a relationship to consume my identity. Even more that I had not financially prepared myself for the circumstances, I had created. One day I looked at myself in the mirror and said “Raise The Bar Amber”. I was literally at one of the lowest points in my life emotionally & on top of all this the pandemic hit. I was determined to come out this strong, wiser, but most importantly with some MONEY. My son’s Godfather had been buying stocks and told me I should start investing in the stock market. He sent me $100 to invest in Spirit Airlines. I remember buying ten shares. That shares made $30 in two days. Naturally I am a hustler, so this made me curious as to how I could make even more money. I begin researching and came across stock options. I took a few courses, bought books, learned how to read charts, & spent the next 90 days, day in and day out, understanding the basic fundamentals.
In four months, I turned that $100 into a 5 figure trading account. My hunger for more knowledge didn’t stop here, I began learning how to budget, establish a healthy savings account, and I became a certified credit counselor. When I tell you this changed my life. It changed my perspective on money. I knew the knowledge and skills I acquired were too good to keep to myself. I believed in my heart there were so many women out there who looked like me that didn’t have a clue about investing or financial literacy in general. It was important for me to teach my family before I started teaching other people. I remember telling my grandmother about options and how I had been making so much money. I taught her the basics and two years later she has had 5 figure trading days. I remember the first $700 she made in 2 days from buying a Walmart option she was so blown away. From there, I taught my uncles, cousins, sisters, & mom how to become profitable in the stock market. The feeling of knowing I could actually teach people how to change their life through investing was mind-blowing. June 2020 Raise The Bar Investment Group was established. I started sharing my profits via social media and posting videos on how to trade. People began reaching out to me wanting to learn. Since then, I taught over 100 students how to invest in the stock market. Raise The Bar is a mindset. It’s really about seeing yourself 2 to 3 levels ahead of where you are. This year I plan to have face to face classes that will teach women how to reprogram their minds so they can live the life they deserve. I will teach them how to release negative thoughts & self-sabotaging behaviors that keep them going in circles hindering them from becoming who they were created to be. There will also be a module on how to invest in the stock market and all-around financial wellness.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! I always knew I would move to Atlanta and for years prior, I had been trying to move here, but the jobs I applied for never hired me. The end of 2020, I made a promise to myself that I would move to Atlanta. I moved to Atlanta April 2021. When I tell you I moved SCARED. I remember driving a uhaul the whole 2hrs 30 mins I am praying Lord is this really you cause if not I will turn this truck around. I knew God had called me to do greater things. I have always had a passion in my heart for people. I have always wanted to see them grow, develop, and live a purposeful life. There have been so many times in my own journey that I didn’t not feel deserving. How could a girl from Spartanburg, South Carolina do all these things. I have been SCARED a lot. My biggest struggle has been getting out of my own way. We are so critical of our own self to the point it will keep us evolving and going to the next level.

Raise The Bar Investment group is a community women can join to learn how to reprogram their minds, reshape their thoughts & behaviors in order to live a more fulfilling life. I am a Certified NLP Trainer (Neuro-Linguistic Programing) (fancy for I help you get your mind right.) What I learned from experience is nothing just happens. You have to set your intentions. Your thoughts, habits, and behavior must all align in order to transform your life. This is really important when it come to transforming your finances. My company focuses on empowering women with tools to become financially independent. What sets Raise The Bar Investment Group apart is our community. In my six weeks “Manifesting Millions” course, we really spend the first three weeks teaching strategies that will shape new habits, behaviors, & processes that will help our clients transform. The last three weeks is all about finance. This is where we empower our students to take control of their financial goals. We give them insight on what their financial plan is missing. They will learn my step by step strategy to take their finances to the next level. They will also receive intimate support from myself and past students who have enrolled in the course. Brand wise, I am most proud of the lives I have been able to impact. I want people to know it’s never too late. That you matter and it’s possible for you to live your dreams. That gut feeling telling you “there is more for you” is your confirmation that you were created to change the world. It won’t be easy, nothing worth having is ever easy. So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is seeing people happy. Seeing the look in their eyes or the excitement in their voice when they have really accomplished something that matters to them. The satisfaction I get from seeing people developing their skills, believing in their dreams, and actually doing the work to achieve them is so rewarding to me. This matters to me because I believe it’s my way to contribute to the world. We are all here for a short period of time. I know that my purpose in life is to spark a fire in people that makes them believe in themselves. I am here to inspire and enlighten.
