Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Leake.
Amy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been in the hairstyling industry for over 30 years now. In 2014 I was presented with the opportunity to purchase my grandparents old home and our downtown district. We purchased, made the necessary renovations and it has been an hour Salon home for 11 years now.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not always been easy. Opening a business if any type has its challenges, but one in the service industry can be especially challenging. We have a great team and we love giving back to our amazing community who gives so much to us.

Located in the heart of Jasper, Salon 84 combines high-end hair artistry with a friendly, small-town vibe. We’re proud to grow both our stylists and our community through education, creativity, and care.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending holidays at the very location we our located in. It’s always fun to share stories of the house and the family with our guest.
