Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Richardson.
Andrea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always loved all animals. Growing up I wanted to be a veterinarian, but I also considered how much sadness I would feel if I couldn’t save a pet. Moving to Ga from SC I started a career in the hotel industry. I worked for Starwood 5 years before my mother passed unexpectedly. I believed it was time for me to follow my passion of working with animals. I left Starwood and gained employment at Petsmart as a bather… making half of what I was getting paid at Starwood. After several months at Petsmart, I decided to start my pet spa. So I got my pet certification and practiced on my fur babies and my friends’ fur babies. Today, I’ve been able to expand my business from a live/work space to a commercial space in 2 years!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been smooth road. Well the only two struggles were the duration of construction and finding an assistant and groomer who believes in Jazzy Pawz’ values before opening. Now it’s smooth sailing.

Jazzy Pawz by Andrea is a pet spa boutique which specializes in spa grooming-all natural baths, massages, facials etc. and also pet clothing and home spa products. I’m known for great customer service and patience and care with frightened and nervous fur babies. I groom in a cage free by appointment only environment. Jazzy Pawz is Where Your Pet Is Treated like Family. I’m most proud of my business being well like and welcomed in the neighborhood and most of my older clients still being their fur babies monthly for their spa grooms.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I’ve always been a little shy with people but I love and very passionate about animals. I work hard and strive for perfection in everything I do; so imagine how I operate my business. I love seeing the fur babies and pet parents leaving happy!
