Today we’d like to introduce you to Andreas Jones.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Andreas. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Jamaica and raised by my mom alone. My first business was a personal loan service with my friends, I started in high school. We would lend small amounts at 20% interest. I migrated to the United States at age 17 with the dream of making a better life. I joined the US Army and served for 9 years. I did a tour in Afghanistan. I got back from Afghanistan in 2008, the middle of the recession and I could not find a job so I started selling coffee with the MLM company Organo Gold. I learned a lot with organo gold with the help of my coach. I then became a coach myself and I love helping business owners implementing habits systems and processes to grow their business as I was thought at Organi gold.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been extremely tough especially in my first year in business when I only had one client. I did not know my target market, I had no accountability and my business was taking over my life as I was spending so much time trying to get it right. It put a strain on my marriage and other friendships. I thought about quitting but my wife kept on pushing me and I hired a coach who helped me turn things around. I owe my success today to my wife and my coach.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would get a coach/mentor/advisor earlier and I would spend more time doing market research and getting clear about my target market.
