Meet Andrew Henry of Hendrixx Multimedia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Henry.

Hi Andrew, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story really begins in Atlanta, long before Hendrixx Multimedia ever existed. I grew up surrounded by culture, music, and community—between my family’s Guyanese background and the vibrant energy of Metro Atlanta, storytelling was always part of my life. I just didn’t know yet that I’d turn it into a career.

Photography started as a hobby, something I did for friends, college events, and family gatherings. People began asking me to bring my camera everywhere, and over time I realized it was more than just taking pictures—I was helping people remember their most important moments. That feeling never left.

After college, I made the decision to take it seriously. I invested in better gear, studied lighting and editing, and built my own brand—Hendrixx Multimedia. I didn’t have a blueprint, so I learned by doing: designing my logo, building my client process, and saying yes to every opportunity. I’ve now had the chance to shoot weddings, college sports, corporate events, family milestones—each session teaching me something new.

Today, I operate both on location around Atlanta and in my home studio, capturing everything from portraits to celebrations. What I’m most proud of is that it’s all been built through consistency, relationships, and staying true to my creative voice. I’m still growing, still learning, but every time a client tells me I captured a moment they’ll cherish forever—that’s why I do it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’m grateful for every challenge because it shaped me. One of the biggest obstacles was simply starting without a blueprint. I didn’t come from a photography family or have a mentor guiding me step-by-step—I had to learn everything on my own, from camera settings and editing to pricing, branding, and client management.

Another challenge was balancing photography with full-time work. There were many days I’d go from managing budgets and grants during the day to shooting events or editing until 2 a.m. That season taught me discipline, time management, and how much I really wanted this.

Like most creatives, I’ve also dealt with slow seasons, inconsistent bookings, and moments where I questioned my value. Buying equipment, building a studio setup, and marketing myself—all of that takes money and confidence, and I didn’t always have both.

But the struggle forced me to grow. I learned how to build a brand instead of just taking pictures. I learned how to create systems, build relationships, and keep going even when it felt quiet. Every setback pushed me toward becoming not just a photographer—but a business owner.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Hendrixx Multimedia is more than a photography business—it’s a visual storytelling brand. I specialize in capturing authentic moments with a clean, cinematic style across weddings, portraits, sports, events, and branded content. Whether I’m shooting a wedding on the beach, a family milestone at Stone Mountain, or a college sports game under stadium lights, my goal is always the same: make people feel something when they see the images.

What sets me apart is the experience I bring with every shoot. I’ve worked in higher education for years, I’m deeply involved in the Atlanta creative community, and I’ve photographed everything from major NCAA games to intimate personal celebrations. That versatility allows me to connect with clients from all backgrounds and deliver images that feel real—not forced.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the consistency, quality, and personal touch I’ve built. My clients don’t just get pictures—they get a guided experience from booking to delivery, clear communication, and imagery they can use forever. I offer on-location sessions, travel services, and a growing studio environment for clients who want controlled lighting or premium portrait experiences.

At the end of the day, Hendrixx Multimedia is about creating memories that last. I want readers to know that whether you need a wedding photographer, family portraits, corporate event coverage, or creative branding content—I bring passion, professionalism, and a genuine love for helping people tell their stories.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The best way to work with me is to book a session or reach out directly about partnership opportunities. I’m always open to photographing weddings, events, portraits, sports, and creative branding projects—whether it’s here in Atlanta or on the road. I’m also very interested in collaborating with local creatives, content creators, small businesses, and brands who believe in authentic storytelling.

People can support Hendrixx Multimedia simply by sharing my work, referring me to friends and organizations, or engaging with my content on social media. A recommendation or repost may seem small, but it has helped me grow more than anything.

I’m also open to internships, shadowing opportunities, and creative collaborations—especially with other photographers and videographers who want to build community instead of competing.

For bookings and business inquiries, you can reach me directly through my website, social media, or by email. I want people to know I’m approachable, I care about the experience, and I genuinely love working with others who value great visuals and meaningful stories.
