Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelina Postoev.

Hi Angelina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I’ve always believed that being a doctor is only one part of who I am. At my core, I’m also an entrepreneur and innovator, constantly looking for ways to grow, improve, and bring better care to the patients we serve. My husband and I are both board-certified surgeons, and together we’ve built a practice that now spans five locations across Georgia and Florida.

Our focus is on the full spectrum of human health—everything from medical and surgical weight loss to plastic and cosmetic surgery, as well as advanced laser procedures that are highly technical and rarely offered by other providers. We’ve also launched a fellowship program to train other physicians in these cutting-edge techniques, because we believe in raising the standard of care across the field.

For me, innovation doesn’t stop at the operating room. I started my own skincare company to help patients continue their transformation beyond surgery, and we’re now expanding into bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to support long-term wellness and vitality.

Looking back, the journey has been about so much more than medicine—it’s been about creating opportunities, building something bigger than myself, and always asking how we can do better for our patients and our community.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth, and honestly, I don’t think success ever comes without challenges. Building multiple practices while raising a family has meant long days, sleepless nights, and constant sacrifices. As a woman and a surgeon, I’ve also had to prove myself in spaces that weren’t always welcoming, and that meant working twice as hard to earn respect.

On the business side, growth comes with its own hurdles—finding the right team, navigating regulations, investing in new technology, and learning to manage not just as a doctor, but as a leader and entrepreneur. There were plenty of moments where it felt overwhelming, but those struggles are also what shaped me.

What I’ve learned is that obstacles are really opportunities in disguise. Each challenge pushed me to innovate, to build systems, and to trust myself more. Looking back, the bumps in the road are the very things that allowed us to grow into what we are today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Orior Skincare grew out of that same vision. Patients would often ask, “What comes next after surgery?” and I wanted to create products that supported their long-term results and overall skin health. What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was actually very shy, but at the same time incredibly stubborn and determined. I’ve always had this quiet persistence—once I set my mind on something, I would find a way to make it happen, even if it went against the advice of my parents.

One example was when I completely refused to go to daycare. At six years old, I insisted I was ready for first grade, and my mother had no choice but to pull some strings to get me enrolled a year earlier than most kids. Another time, when I was seven, I decided I wanted to play piano. My mom didn’t want me to attend music school because it was far away and she thought I wouldn’t stick with it. But I figured out how to get there on my own, went through the admissions process, passed the tests, and then came home and presented her with my acceptance letter—after the fact.

Stories like that have been a theme throughout my life. Even as a very young child, I was quietly pushing boundaries, creating my own opportunities, and refusing to let obstacles stop me. That determination has really shaped the way I approach challenges today as a doctor, entrepreneur, and leader.
