Meet Anne Marie Johnsen of OnlYoga in Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anne Marie Johnsen.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Anne Marie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
OnlYoga was founded 15 years ago by John Meredith. John successfully built a following, a community, and renown teacher training program–the best in the southeast, I’ll boast.

Five years ago and new to Atlanta, onlYoga became my yoga home. Three years ago I began to work with john and in October 2016 took ownership of onlYoga

John created a meaningful community based on transformation and inclusivity which I plan to continue and grow.

Has it been a smooth road?
Our space is intimate and unique, in a loft apartment in midtown. We overlook a gorgeous tree and peachtree street. We practice together among the city sounds and at night have candles and colored lights—it’s an amazing space and feels like a secret hideaway which is great ……and not great…. No building signage makes it hard for people to find us….

So, as you know, we’re impressed with onlYoga – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a yoga studio.

I’m proud to offer the best-trained teachers in Atlanta to guide you through this transformation effectively and safely. They teach with such dedication, compassion, and creativity. You won’t get the same vinyasa class twice. They know your name, they know your issues. They are invested.

With a yoga studio seemingly on every corner now, we stand out with our creative vinyasa, not corporate, not cookie cutter. Intimate classes where you get personal attention, hands-on adjustments, and actually create a relationship with your teacher.

We are also the only studio in midtown to offer aerial yoga.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love midtown and it’s diversity…..the growth there in just the past year is amazing and I love seeing more life and more business moving into the area.

Like everyone, I am frustrated by the traffic and lack within our public transit.
