Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Lewis.
Anthony J Lewis is a young Director/Writer who came to Atlanta with only one mission, to Succeed. After his family relocated back to his birthplace of New York City. Anthony worked as a custodian for Dekalb County Schools And rented out his apartment to friends and Airbnb app users to help him with saving, rent, and bills along with his small Custodian Salary. During the time of illegally renting his now shared living space to make a profit, he mostly encounters female Airbnb app users. Anthony would allow less fortunate females to stay a little longer, sometimes even months, even ones with children if they were going through hard times and needed a space to come up with a new game plan to get themselves together for no charge or no sexual favors. Anthony did find something exciting about each female that would walk through his door; they all had a story. Anthony had a steady job and side gig, but also had a foot into the streets, his childhood friends from New York City, were also in Atlanta but had a different way of making money and making a lot of it fast. One day Anthony gets a call that there was a shooting at his friend’s house, a pregnant female lost her life, a friend was shot, And once a friend to all committed the crime. A month later, Anthony gets a call that his childhood friend “Jabar Bizzy Brady” was found dead with a bullet whole to his head in his mother’s backyard. It put Anthony in a depression Were he quickly reunited with a old hobby from a teenager, photography. It went from becoming obsessed with lighting, editing, and capturing the moment. To Anthony’s social media becoming locally popular and Instagram celebrity’s booking him to do photoshoots and Well known Photographers and Directors of Atlanta taking him under the wing.
From there Anthony Ended up quitting his job as a custodian, Going through the ups and downs as a photographer/ videographer. Anthony finally was able to get a break by meeting a Executive producer of a film company out of Los angels . and he was of Anthony just because of his nickname F.i.L.O (FIRST IN LAST OUT) to Christopher Cotton of Muddy water films and Weber films it showed ambition, and he liked that. Anthony was brought on board as an intern/ videographer. After weeks in Los Angeles, meeting people, directors, celebrities and business owners, Anthony came to a realization that he can do it too. Returning to Atlanta, Anthony left the room he was renting at the time and lived in his truck that his Grandfather “Willie Joe Lewis” gave him a day before he passed away. and in 8 months, Anthony wrote, researched, planned and executed the ‘ATLANTA GIRL$ BY ANTHONY J LEWIS’ Pilot and after a year of shopping around here, we are with the “XOD NETWORK” thanks to Anthony’s best friend for years “Quanteisha Crenshaw.” Stay tuned.
Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle has been to be away from my family in New York city 2019 I spent all the holidays in Atlanta working on my two shows Atlanta girl$ by Anthony j lewis and champagne & color Schemes by Anthony j lewis that includes birthday and my nephew being born. It was either go hard or go home and I chose to go hard in the paint.
