Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Robinson.
Anthony, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I knew in my early childhood, I had a gift of styling hair. I grew up in a household close in age with my niece, I would create different styles on her Barbie and Darci doll heads. One of my brothers caught me playing with the doll one day and ridiculed me and from that, I stopped playing with the dolls but would start styling my niece’s hair.
Fast forward to post-high school, I wanted to serve in the military but failed the exam the first time and never tried it again. I went to school to become a Computer Programmer and with one semester shy of completion I decided I wasn’t living my truth I phoned my mother and shared with her that I wasn’t happy and wanted to go to school for Cosmetology. She supported my decision as I moved back home to attend Cosmetology school. My life consisted of school during the day and hair on the weekends in my mother’s kitchen until one Saturday afternoon a salon owner paid me a visit insisting I come work in her salon. Upon completion of my course, working in her salon and having my first massage I still felt something was missing. I decided to move to Atlanta to attend massage school as I knew I wanted to offer all beauty and spa services to my guests to prevent them from having to drive from location to location to seeking impeccable services. After several years of working in salons and spas, I decided to birth Kevant Salon & Spa to offer five-star services to those that walked through the doors.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely NOT, marketing, building a clientele and trying to convince people to respect my craft and pay for their services is still somewhat a challenge while juggling my personal life as well.

I specialize in healthy hair. Educating my clientele the benefits of the services we offer and they’re seeking. We are known for being a ONE stop establishment where you can get services from your hair follicle to your toenails.
I’ve been specializing and offering healthy care services for over 28 years. Educating my clients on the benefits of the services.
I’m most proud that people NOT only trust US but they refer us out to others when seeking some of the unique services we offer. We make each visit an EXPERIENCE.
What were you like growing up?
Very vibrant and creative didn’t accept NO or you can’t do that as a final answer or stop. I love standing out and being different.
