Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoine Brooks.
Hi Antoine, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a doctor. The human body always fascinated me! Its self-healing and self-regulated. As long as you take care of it, it’ll take care of you. So in my last semester of my senior year in undergrad, a guy from Life University came to speak to our Genetics class about Chiropractic. Up until then, I thought that chiropractors were just “back doctors”. Boy was I wrong. Once I graduated from The Alabama State University, I enrolled in Life and my eyes were opened to the holistic world. I learned that with no neurological interference, a proper diet with adequate exercise that you could live a long and healthy life! While at Life University, I attended clubs on campus that help sharpen my adjusting skills as well as equip me with the knowledge to explain what chiropractic is and how it works. Upon graduation, I worked at two different clinics as well as teach at Point University (WestPoint campus). I started Cloud 9 Chiropractic because I saw the need for a mobile chiropractic service. As a working individual myself I understood that everyone can’t come during business hours because they themselves are working. But what if I could go to them? Fast forward a few years. I now have a location on Campbellton Rd, provide mobile services and work with Dominguez Injury Center.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road by any means. With anything in life, there will be obstacles. I’ve dealt with businesses that want to overwork and underpay, clients with no call no shows, as well as Covid. However, things only made me wiser. If businesses underpay, start your own company. If clients are no shows, create a website where they have to schedule and pay online.
As you know, we’re big fans of Cloud 9 Chiropractic LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Cloud 9 Chiropractic was originally started as a mobile only service. We pride ourselves in eliminating patients waiting in traffic to get to their appointments by coming to them. One thing that sets us apart from others is the fact that I will come to ANY location in my area. I’ve been to multi-million dollars homes to see patients and I’ve also been to places most chiropractors wouldn’t go. I’m most proud that this all started as a dream that has manifested into reality. With the help of those that God placed in my life, my dream has became reality. I would want readers to look at me and know that if you put God first, stay in your lane (don’t worry about the next person or who does or don’t support you), be dedicated to your craft and DON’T QUIT that you can accomplish anything you set your mind too!
How do you think about happiness?
Helping my clients to get out of pain and seeing the look on their faces after being adjusted means the world to me.
