Hi Antoinette, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am the owner of Saved Sexy and Sensual. Wife. Mother of three. Grandmother of one. a Pastor and I wear many hats. Saved Sexy and Sensual is a business is all about intimacy. Connection, love and yes healthy sex. I am 53 years old newly remarried, December made three years. My husband is Lamont Roberts, the most awesomeness man I ever met.
We met on an online dating line and we chatted for some time, I lived in NYC he was in Alaska. Eventually, I was coming to Georgia to visit family and I told him we had to meet in person there. I was clear I was to move to Georgia to start ministry but I asked God for a few things. A husband that was available was one of them. I call Lamont “My Promise” He is a promise God granted me to accomplish what He needed done. Little did we know our marriage would be the thing God used to start Saved Sexy and Sensual and birth a growing ministry.
My husband has a number of health issues after serving 22 1/2 years in the military. He was on dialysis for 18 years and has been blessed to have a kidney transplant four years now. He is a diabetic also, and all of this can affect a man’s libido and ability to perform sexually like he used to when he was younger, I was told we would be in a sexless or limited sex marriage. I said not so.
I called Pure Romance. Out of a need to find new, exciting innovative ways to have intimacy and relations I discovered there was a company called Pure Romance. They sell intimate toys and items for couples and women. The company is very classy and I became a Pure Romance consultant. It was doing parties I met women just like me. Women of all ages secretly experiencing all types of things that affect their sex life. I discovered how important intimacy is and how so many couples are missing that element in their relationship. I found out many women walked in shame and guilt to even discuss sex and their personal stories. Let alone buy marital aids. They had questions, education was needed about orgasms, what we like, the right to be as free as you want to be.
I am a woman of God and the church can make a person feel like they have to choose their beliefs over a healthy sex life. I had to let women see it is ok to serve God wholeheartedly and be the freakiest, sexiest, sensual woman you desire to be. I mean look at all the scandals we see in the body of Christ.
So Saved Sexy and Sensual was birthed. I do more than sell vibrators and such. We educate, we empower men and women and curate spaces where intimacy can happen. We create an environment that is romantic. We talk about the hard issues and research alot of things that happen in relationships.
Lamont and I have a FB live we do called We Are The Roberts where we talk at our table real talk that affects real people. We are Pastors that know sex is important and worship.
I am proud and so blessed about what God has trusted us to do. Many tried to shame me, make me second guess if I heard right., But the testimonies and the results we have seen are amazing. This business is fairly new but I am trusting that 2022 Saved Sexy and Sensual will be mentioned in a positive light amongst the People of God.
It is our God-given right to make love passionately to the person that is ordained for you.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not…How does a Pastor sell dildos and vibrators. How do you speak of fellatio, cunnilingus, positions, orgasms and preach the gospel? I was told this is not a business it is a hobby, but I beg to differ. I grab so many people’s attention when I speak. I saw the tears of women and some men when they discovered what we do. We are still figuring things out, like the illustrations on the product boxes being offensive.

Lamont and I currently Pastor a church in Waycross, GA 3 1/2 hours away from where we live. But we realize right here in Atlanta is where we need to start. I am known for speaking candidly and transparently. I can’t do fake. I am most proud of my marriage because it took me 50 years to feel what real love is. What partnership is. We are far from perfect but we work hard not to harm one another… I not only love my husband, I like him. I love hanging out with him. He makes me smile hard and proudly show up in the world as Mrs. Lamont Roberts.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see an explosion in this industry. Covid has helped couples connect like never before. We see date nights being a huge must. We see the church full of loving couples that believe in marriage. We see people being honest about what is really going on and knowing where to go.
