Meet Antoinique White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoinique White.

Hi Antoinique, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started doing photography and filmmaking when I attended a two-week documentary summer camp back in 2016. The program was called “School of Doc” and the committee chose about 15 high school students to learn the basics about creating documentary films.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. The only real struggle I’ve encountered was lack of financial resources to purchase more equipment to help strengthen my content visually.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a cinematographer and photographer, that specializes in feature-length drama films and portraits. I am most proud of being able to manage a social life, college, and still being able to create and have content accessible across the nation.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The best thing I like about the city is the amount of opportunity, especially to collaborate with others. The thing I like the least is that most people think that the camera world is saturated.
