Today we’d like to introduce you to Anusmita Sur.
Anusmita, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
From the beginning of my life, I always learned, life is a journey that is meant to be embraced to the fullest every day. However, that doesn’t mean you always wake up ready to seize the day and sometimes need a reminder that life is a great gift. I always had a passion for styling, more likely style others, giving them fashion tips, and trying to motivate by sharing my life journey and philosophy. I got my passion for boutique from my mom. Slowly I started the business here, collaborating with my mom’s boutique first. Slowly my business got expanded and got an appreciation for my unique collections and designs. Now people know my boutique-name as a classy one, elegant one and moreover the affordable one. Pageantry was not on my bucket list, but I often tried different styles, and people appreciated the way I look into my life. They used to say that my journey, my work, my passion motivates them. So when the opportunity came, I thought to give it a try. We only live once, so I wanted to enjoy the ride. That’s how when the owner of Inspiration enterprises, Priyanka Tyagi approached me, I gave it a thought and finally, I participated in Mrs. Bharat Georgia 2019. I can’t thank Priyanka enough to gave me this platform from where I reinvented myself. The journey was amazing. I learned a lot, made new friends, expanded my knowledge in pageantry. It was not all about beauty. It was about the way you look into life. It’s about your personality, your passion, your thoughts and your knowledge. Winning Mrs. Bharat GA 2019 gave me the bigger platform to expand my wings, helped me to serve the community more. I got associated more with Accesslife America, did charity drives, started mentoring the girls who just needed a little encouragement to excel in their own fields.
Now the next step was to participate at the National level. From the winner of Mrs.Bharat GA 2019 and Mrs. Congeniality to the 1st runner up of Mrs.Bharat USA 2019, it was an absolute journey of passion, compassion and style. Going to a different state and competing with other state titleholders was not an easy dream to pursue. But with dedication, determination, and lots of love and support from family and friends made it possible. Thanks to Rashmi Bedi and Janak Bedi, founders of My Dream entertainment who arranged the pageantry so smoothly and beautifully that we felt so comfortable and confident during the whole journey. Being judged by 15 judges for three rounds and won the crown empowered me to work towards my mission on a bigger platform, giving back to society, making a difference. Being a mom of two kids, Asst. Director of a school, dancing, acting, working on a short film, choreographing, mentoring pageant girls; gave me the opportunity to revamp myself again. After winning the crown, I directed and coordinated the virtual fashion shows, got awarded by World Popular Awards Winner, got invited to different organizations as the guest speaker. I hope we all succeed in our mission and make a better society, a better world.
Has it been a smooth road?
From not being on the ramp for the whole life, it was a little challenging to participate and get prepared for it. But with my excellent support systems, I made it through with flying colors.

Over the course of my life, I realized one important thing. Being yourself is the most important thing in your life. And I think that’s the one thing that sets me apart from everyone. My boutique is also well-known to have the same philosophy. I design the sarees, blouses and jewelry. Next year I am planning to come up with a fashion line. As the winner of the pageants, I am trying to utilize the bigger platform to help the community in various ways
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Atlanta weather is great year-round, which makes the city best explored outdoors. It actually has a higher percentage of tree coverage than the national average. It’s home to dozens of parks, trails and nature preserves, and the weather makes it easy to explore any day of the year. Atlanta is a great place to raise a family. Between restaurants, shopping districts, nature trails, and historical sites, it’s tough to run out of things to do. For kids, the area offers zoos, aquariums, gardens, concerts, parks and endless attractions. Many of the suburban public schools are highly acclaimed. Georgia is consistently ranked as one of the best places to do business. Atlanta has a ton to offer for all stages of life. The city boasts a young, diverse workforce, and companies know they can come to find the employees they need. Social activities and networking events make it easy to meet new people. The cost of living is also second to none. Fortunately, I love the place I live, can’t complain about anything. 🙂
