Today we’d like to introduce you to Aqua Williams.
Aqua, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My interest in cooking sparked at a very young age, maybe five or six. My mom, Dad & Grandmother were really hands-on with me in kitchen. I remember being amazed at how they turned the most simple ingredients into the most delicious meals! Following their footsteps, I became a natural in the kitchen. While being hooked on TV shows like Chopped, Chef Roble & Co and spending most of my time researching recipes. Being in the kitchen always felt like an escape, a new adventure and where I could express myself the most.
My journey truly began after being accepted into one of the most prestigious Culinary Schools, Johnson and Wales University. While pursuing my degree I made sure to gain as much industry experience as possible while making it my mission to leave college with a solid plan. In May of 2018 I graduated Cum Laude, being the first in my generation to do so.. A couple months later, I took a leap of faith, packed up my car and moved to Atlanta!
Fast forward to now, one year later.. Where my passion, dedication and confidence in myself and business has brought me.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Actually, very rocky but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Some of my biggest challenges were paying for college out of pocket and moving to Atlanta on my own. Despite the struggles, giving up hasn’t been and will never be an option.
Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
