Today we’d like to introduce you to Arlene Dizon
Hi Arlene, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
How I Started My Real Estate Journey:
Starting a career in real estate was a decision rooted in my desire for independence, flexibility, and the ability to align my professional life with my personal values. While the path wasn’t always straightforward, the process of launching my own real estate business has been both rewarding and transformative.
The Inspiration Behind the Journey:
The spark that ignited my interest in real estate came from a longing for a career that offered more control over my schedule and income. I had always valued the ability to create my own path and work on my terms. The real estate industry, with its dynamic nature and opportunities for personal growth, seemed like the perfect fit.
I also realized how meaningful it would be to help others achieve their dreams of buying a home, selling property, or finding the perfect investment. Real estate is about more than transactions; it’s about building relationships and being a trusted partner in one of the biggest decisions people make.
Taking the First Steps:
Like any new venture, starting in real estate required preparation. I began by researching the industry, understanding the licensing requirements, and enrolling in the necessary courses. Obtaining my real estate license was a significant milestone—it gave me the confidence and tools I needed to start serving clients.
I also spent time studying market trends and connecting with experienced professionals. Networking with mentors and peers provided insights that proved invaluable as I navigated the complexities of this business.
Launching My Own Business:
One of the biggest leaps in my journey was starting my own real estate business. This decision was driven by my desire to have full control over how I operated, served clients, and built a brand that reflected my personal values.
Launching my business meant wearing multiple hats—marketing, client management, negotiations, and more. Each challenge taught me something new about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of always putting my clients first.
The Rewards of Real Estate:
The most fulfilling part of my career has been the relationships I’ve built with clients. Helping someone find their dream home or guiding them through a significant life transition is incredibly rewarding. It reminds me daily why I chose this path.
Real estate has also allowed me to create a balance between my professional and personal life, something I deeply value. The flexibility of running my own business means I can prioritize what truly matters—both in my work and at home.
Looking Ahead:
As I continue to grow my business, I’m excited to explore new opportunities, serve more clients, and make an even bigger impact in my community. Real estate isn’t just a career- it’s a journey that allows me to evolve while helping others achieve their goals.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Lessons Learned Along the Way:
Looking back, I’ve learned that success in real estate isn’t just about closing deals. It’s about trust, consistency, and a genuine passion for helping people. Real estate is a long game, requiring patience, dedication and continuous learning.

What were you like growing up?
Looking back, growing up was a mix of experience that shaped the person I am today. It was during those formative years that I developed values like hard work, resilience, and compassion which continue to guide me in both my personal and professional life. Family and friends were my cornerstone of my childhood. Whether it was the encouragement to pursue my passions or the discipline to stay committed to my goals, those lessons laid the groundwork for my drive and determination. Watching my family navigate challenges taught me the importance of perseverance, adaptability and supporting one another.
Growing up in a close-knit community instilled in me a sense of belonging and the value of relationships. I learned early on that connections-whether with friends, neighbors, or mentors- are powerful. These bonds fostered my ability to listen, communicate and empathize with others, qualities that are now central to my work in real estate and leadership roles.
