I fell in love with consulting 12 years ago. When I graduated from college over ten years ago, my first job was a bust. I was working for a non-profit in HR and going to graduate school at night. In just a year and a half, I was fired which I thought was a terrible start to my corporate career. After convincing myself there was no way I could see myself working for public sector, I accepted a position anyway. Six months into my public sector career, I graduated from grad school and began my journey to building my own empire. I transformed my experience in corporate to my own consulting firm. Coining my journey and social platform as “Building The Foundation To Your Brick House.”

What did I build? I started F.A.C.E. The Agency Training & Consulting. As of 2019, F.A.C.E. The Agency is woman-owned business providing a full spectrum of Training, Organizational Development and Business Development consulting services to professionals, entrepreneurs, and service-based providers.

We are a global brand. However, we have focused on working with professionals and companies in need of critical advice, coaching and strategic navigation to take their businesses to the next level through customized training and development programs in Washington, D.C., Charlotte, and now Atlanta.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road hasn’t been easy at all. It was a bumpy transition met with adversity being young in the industry but skilled. Each month, my team and I are always looking for ways to innovate our approach to building online programs and remain relevant in the training and development industry. We are always tired, submitting responses to solicitations, and sometimes ready to through in the towel. However, we are reminded everyday that what we are achieving is needed in our communities and is the foundation to the success of any business/organization.

I see our industry growing exponentially in e-learning and online programs with the knowledge industry surpassing 320 billion. I definitely see a possible decline in instructor-led training with gamification taking over online courses.
