From Capital City to Capital City: Changing the World One Nail at a Time!

From Montgomery roots to Georgia power moves — Arynn ‘Miss Lucy’ Hall is rewriting the rules! What began as a childhood curiosity quickly evolved into a calling. Arynn “Miss Lucy” Hall picked up an acrylic brush at just eight years old — and never let it go. While other kids explored hobbies, she was refining a skill. With her mother’s steady support and friends and family as her earliest clients, she turned practice into purpose and talent into trajectory.
A move to Georgia — prompted by her mother’s declining health — marked a pivotal shift in her journey. Even through personal hardship, Miss Lucy stayed committed to growth. She chose to rise above the pain, pouring her energy into education and her craft. In high school, she earned over a year of college credit through Dual Enrollment and was inducted into the Mu Alpha Theta and Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA) honor societies — all while laying the foundation for a future in the nail industry.
When the time came to choose between continuing college classes or fully investing in her dream, she took the leap — and never looked back.
In 2016, she enrolled in the Elaine Sterling Institute, one of Atlanta’s most elite and prestigious cosmetology schools, renowned for its advanced curriculum and high standards of excellence. She completed the Nail Technician program in 2017, then successfully obtained her professional licensure shortly after graduation — stepping confidently into the beauty industry with both credentials and vision.
Determined to expand her impact, Miss Lucy completed a Nail Instructor Certification Program in 2019, where she graduated as Valedictorian. That milestone marked not just personal growth, but a shift toward mentorship — empowering the next generation of nail professionals.
She went on to develop an introductory guide for aspiring nail techs, giving new professionals real-world knowledge, confidence, and clarity as they enter the field.
In Montgomery, Alabama, Miss Lucy brought her vision to life — opening the city’s first-ever nail supply store, followed by a Press-On Nail Bar. She’s also hosted community-driven events like the Ultimate Kids & Teens Summer Nail Camp, creating safe, inspiring spaces for young artists to learn, grow, and shine.
Her impact has been featured on WSFA-12 News for her service through the summer nail camps, and WAKA-8 News for her upcoming Nail Program collaboration with her own Melanin Nail Mogul Academy and Impact Hair Academy, launching in Fall 2025.
Today, Miss Lucy continues to lead with passion and purpose — developing continuing education resources, mentoring rising talent in the beauty space, and still serving nail clients in metro Atlanta and beyond whenever time allows.
She’s not just shaping nails — she’s shaping the future of the industry. One polished move at a time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey to being where I am today has not been a smooth road. I lost one of my greatest motivators, my mother, while having to continue having the drive and determination to keep going. I have made many mistakes within my business, but I was able to take every mistake as a lesson and learn from it. Operating businesses in multiple states has also been one of the struggles that has made the road less smooth, but it has been worth it each step of the way.
